Brandon Crawford had returned home at dusk, and now, he was still sitting in the sitting area of his room. He stared at the Go board before him, seemingly contemplating his next move. In truth, no one knew what was really on his mind.
Eve had gone in and out several times, trying to persuade him to rest early, but Brandon Crawford remained unmoved.
Eve grew truly anxious and couldn't help but say, "If you don't sleep soon, my only choice is to call Mrs. Crawford and have her come over. You wouldn't want to trouble her this late at night, would you?"
Hearing this, Brandon Crawford finally lifted his head slowly to look at her.
However, before he could answer, a knock suddenly sounded on the door behind Eve.
Eve, thinking it was Summer Thorne, was instantly delighted. She quickly turned to open the door, only to pause in surprise when she saw Sidney Tate standing outside. "Oh, it's you."
