Those simple, understated words made Summer Thorne pause. When she looked up at him again, she abruptly rose slightly and leaned toward him.
Summer Thorne looked at him. "You wait so long every day, but we only get to see each other for a little while at most. You don't mind?"
"Mm, I don't mind," Timothy York said.
"Why?"
Timothy York met her gaze calmly, his voice steady and low. "Just being able to see you is good enough."
Summer Thorne was quiet for a moment, then laughed softly. "Are your standards really that low, Mr. York?"
"Are they low?" Timothy York said. "In that case, I take it you'll be satisfying this request of mine indefinitely?"
Such a simple sentence, yet it was like a promise.
A promise of forever.
And so, Summer Thorne couldn't help but feel a little dazed.
'Will there be a 'forever' for us?'
Timothy York clearly saw the dazed look in Summer Thorne's eyes.
