In mid-December, as the Christmas holidays began, Summer Thorne finally returned to Dornechester.
She hadn't told Georgia Sutton she was back. If the two hadn't happened to run into each other in the elevator, Georgia would have had no idea she had returned.
"When did you get back?" Georgia asked, shocked.
Summer Thorne, holding a bag of groceries, answered nonchalantly, "Last night."
"Then..."
Georgia had wanted to ask why Summer hadn't told her, but on second thought, she realized Summer didn't really have to. So she just gave her a slight glare and changed the subject. "Is your trip over?"
"Nope," Summer replied. "I just got tired of changing lodgings every day. I'm planning to rest up for a bit before setting off again."
Hearing this, Georgia fell silent for a moment.
"What about you? What are your plans for the holiday?"
Georgia paused before saying, "I'm going to a party with some classmates tonight. Want to come?"
