Seeing her like this, Timothy York couldn't help but ask, "Asleep so early?"
"No." Summer Thorne let him in. "I was just a bit drowsy and was lying on the sofa for a while."
As she spoke, she rubbed her eyes, forcing herself to wake up, and looked at his injured hand. "How's your hand? Did you go to the hospital?"
"The cut isn't deep." Timothy York took off his jacket as he spoke. "It'll be fine in a day or two. There's no need to go to the hospital."
Summer Thorne quickly reached for his cuff, carefully sliding his injured hand out of the sleeve. Her brow remained unconsciously furrowed.
Timothy York took in her expression and asked, "Why are you back so early?"
Summer Thorne paused, then said, "Everyone was more interested in the gossip; no one was listening to me at all. It was boring, so I just came back."
After hearing this, Timothy York asked, "Was the woman today the owner of that ultrasound photo?"
"You actually remember that?" Summer Thorne hadn't expected him to.
