With a glimmer of anticipation in his eyes, he shot the other man a glare before turning his attention to Wen Qian.
Wen Qian picked up three small, colorful boxes from the table and eagerly held them out to him.
"One for you, one for me, and one for Ling Xuan," Wen Qian said in a bright voice. "You pick first."
The young man's finger hovered over the boxes, moving slowly without landing on one. After a long moment, as if he'd suddenly realized something, he frowned at Wen Qian. "Ling Xuan gets one too?"
"Everyone gets one..." Seeing the look on Yin Zhi's face, she quickly added, "But each one is unique!"
Yin Zhi pressed his lips together. A flash of disappointment crossed his face but was quickly replaced by other emotions.
He picked up a light blue box. When he opened it, a little monster with silver hair playing a harmonica greeted his eyes.
Joy flashed in his eyes. Yin Zhi carefully tucked the charm into his pocket, then picked up another one. "I'll take this to him now."
