The kids woke up just as we finished talking.
"Mom, are we here already?" – Xayden"Yeah, Mom… I'm still tired from sleeping," – Xia
These two always want everything in a hurry. But they are my soft spot—my best friends, my pillars of strength.
"We'll arrive soon. Five more minutes, babies."
"Yayyyyy, new home, new life!" – my little monkeys cheered.
Soon, we arrived at our duplex condominium in City M. With three pieces of luggage, I stepped out of the Grab with the kids. The house had already been fully renovated and was ready for us to move in.
"Kids, take your own luggage."
"Aye aye, Captain!"
It's a high-end condominium. With the help of security, we brought our luggage inside. We got into the lift, and I pressed the button for the 18th floor. Each level only has four units, making it spacious—almost like a double house.
"Madam, we are here," the guard said.
"Okay, thank you.""Thank you, uncleeeee!" the kids chimed happily.
As Xayden and I were about to enter our new home, we suddenly heard a loud voice.
"Waittttt! Mom and Gege cannot enter yet!" – Xia
"We know what you're planning," – Xayden said, shaking his head.
I smiled. I know my little princess—she loves recording every moment.
"Okaaaay, you may enter first," I said.
I unlocked the door and switched on the lights and air conditioning. Then I heard her start recording.
"Hi everyone! So this is our first home in Country M. Waaah, it looks really beautiful. Mom! You did great with the interior design. I'll show you guys the first floor and the second floor!"
I watched as she went around filming everything—without including me or her brother in the frame.
I laughed softly. My little princess is so dramatic.
"Mom, what are we having for dinner?" – Xayden asked.
"Hmmm… maybe I'll cook something for you guys. How about fried rice?"
"Okay, Mom. Anything you cook makes us happy."
Thank God these two monkeys aren't fussy eaters. They always enjoy whatever I cook for them.
