Chapter 1 - "Uchiha Ken: The Shadow of the First Hokage."

Konoha, Year 51. Summer.

Hidden Leaf Village.

In a quiet courtyard within the Uchiha clan compound—

"Open system!"

A faint blue screen flickered to life across Uchiha Ken's vision, text scrolling neatly across his retina.

"Convert 300 chakra into Wood Release energy."

"Energy +300. Wood Release Lv.0 (19,720/20,000) → Lv.1 (20/100,000)."

Ding! Congratulations, host. Your Wood Release bloodline has advanced to Lv.1.

Ding! You've obtained ninjutsu: Wood Release: Cutting Technique, Wood Release: Strangling Technique.

Ken clenched his fists, a grin spreading across his face. "Finally… Wood Release hit Level 1!"

"Just like the system said. Leveling it up gives me matching Wood Release techniques."

In his past life, Ken had been just another overworked office drone on Earth, grinding through endless 9-to-9 shifts. Then, more than a year ago, he'd somehow transmigrated into the world of Naruto—and into the Uchiha clan, no less.

The timing was terrible.

He'd arrived in Year 50 of Konoha—right when the Nine-Tails attacked.

Luckily, he was a hardcore Naruto fan. He knew what was coming and managed to avoid the disaster. That knowledge, plus a strong ability to adapt, helped him settle into life in the ninja world faster than expected.

Still, the Third Great Ninja War had already taken its toll.

His parents died on the battlefield protecting the village.

Just like that, Ken became an orphan.

But fate hadn't completely screwed him over.

Like every proper transmigrator, he got a system.

And from it, he gained something insane—the Sage Body.

From what he remembered, only a handful of legends had ever possessed it: the Sage of Six Paths, Asura Ōtsutsuki, and Hashirama Senju.

It wasn't technically a bloodline limit, but it was even scarier—more like those overpowered bloodlines you see in fantasy novels.

Once awakened, the Sage Body gave his cells absurd vitality. They could regenerate endlessly, granting overwhelming life force and massive chakra reserves.

Hashirama himself had chakra levels comparable to a tailed beast. Madara once called him an unkillable warrior on the battlefield.

There was even a joke:

Yamato uses Wood Release for landscaping.Hashirama uses it to conquer the world.

It sounded like a joke, but it wasn't wrong.

Wood Release wasn't what made Hashirama terrifying.

It was the Sage Body.

And now—

Ken was the fourth person to truly possess it.

On top of that, he'd "accidentally" awakened Wood Release as well. Through the system, he could convert chakra into energy at a 1:1 ratio to level up his three bloodlines.

Each one unlocked new abilities as it leveled.

Sage Body boosted his physical strength and chakra.Sharingan enhanced his visual power.Wood Release granted unique techniques.

In the Uchiha clan, kids usually started learning chakra extraction around age four or five.

Ken? He mastered it in less than a day.

And picked up the three basic jutsu along the way.

Over the past year, he'd carefully planned his growth.

First, he leveled the Sage Body. Then the Sharingan. Finally, Wood Release.

There was a reason for that order.

Before upgrading the Sage Body, his chakra pool was only 200. After reaching Level 1, it jumped to 500—more than double.

With more chakra, leveling the other two became much faster.

So Sharingan came next.

Wood Release was last.

Not because it was weak—but because it was too dangerous.

After Hashirama's death, the Third Hokage and Orochimaru both secretly researched Wood Release. Yamato himself was a test subject.

If anyone found out Ken had it?

It would cause chaos in the village.

Best case, he'd be locked up and studied by Konoha's higher-ups.

Worst case… he'd end up on Orochimaru's operating table.

So no matter how powerful it was, Wood Release stayed hidden—his trump card. He wouldn't reveal it unless his life depended on it.

As for the Sharingan…

In canon, reaching the Eternal Mangekyō required transplanting a close relative's eyes.

But Ken could just grind it up with chakra.

No sacrifices needed.

He just had to put in the work.

And honestly? As an orphan, he didn't have anyone's eyes to take anyway.

Even if he did, he wouldn't do something like that.

That was his line.

"Let's test out Wood Release."

Now that he'd unlocked two techniques—Cutting and Strangling—he was itching to try them.

His home sat in a remote corner on the northwest side of the Uchiha compound, so he didn't have to worry about being seen.

"Good thing the Third Hokage's creepy peeping jutsu can't see me," he muttered.

Hiruzen's crystal ball let him spy across the village, but only if he'd previously recorded someone's chakra.

Ken had never used jutsu in front of him.

So he was safe.

The two Wood Release techniques were already ingrained in his mind.

He gathered chakra, hands flashing through seals.

"Wood Release: Strangling Technique!"

Whoosh—!

Seven or eight thick branches burst out of the ground.

Under his control, they moved like giant serpents, wrapping tightly around a massive stone nearby—one he used for training.

"Tighten!"

The branches constricted harder and harder.

Cracks spread across the stone with sharp popping sounds.

The force was insane.

If an average genin got caught in that… they'd probably be crushed or suffocated on the spot.

"Wood Release: Cutting Technique."

A sharp wooden spike shot out from Ken's palm.

He lunged forward and stabbed.

Shhk!

The spike pierced straight through solid rock.

Then, with another hand seal—

More spikes erupted from the first, shooting outward in all directions.

In an instant, the rock looked like a porcupine.

"Wood Release really is broken with the Sage Body…" Ken muttered, impressed.

At the same time, he couldn't help but look forward to what new techniques he'd unlock next.

"Still… the chakra cost is brutal."

He gave a wry smile.

Just those two jutsu had drained a good chunk of his chakra.

Leveling up the Sage Body was still his top priority.

After finishing his training, Ken withdrew the Wood Release and started cleaning up the courtyard.

He had just finished when—

Knock, knock, knock.

Someone was at the door.

"Coming."

Frowning slightly, Ken walked over and opened it.

The moment he saw who it was, his eyes widened in surprise.

"Well, this is rare… what are you doing here?"

"....."
