Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Origin of Arc

"Everything… began with human curiosity."

Year: 1950

Deep within a classified underground laboratory—

Massive machines rumbled with a low, ominous hum.

Lights flickered endlessly.

Nine scientists stood in a circle around a pitch-black structure—

a gate.

"Energy levels are stable!"

"Dimensional pressure is within controllable limits!"

"Initiating gate activation sequence!"

A countdown echoed through the chamber.

3… 2… 1…

WOOOOOM!!!

Space itself… tore apart.

A blinding white light burst forth from the gate.

"…We did it."

One of them whispered, his voice trembling.

"We actually… did it."

And in that moment—

they became the first humans to step into another world.

The world they discovered…

was both breathtaking—

and terrifying.

An endless blue sky stretched above them.

Forests expanded beyond sight.

Mountains towered into the heavens.

But—

"WATCH OUT!!!"

A massive creature lunged at them.

Razor-sharp fangs.

Glowing crimson eyes.

"What the hell is that—!?"

Not long after—

humanity gave those beings a name:

"Monsters."

And the mysterious power they discovered in that world—

"Magic."

But that wasn't all.

They also encountered humanoid beings—

capable of speech…

yet completely devoid of emotion.

They repeated the same actions endlessly, without will.

"…What are they…?"

"…They look human… but they're not."

In the end, they named them—

"NPCs."

That world was far beyond imagination.

It was divided into countless regions—

called "Zones."

And the world itself—

was given a name:

"Arc Supreme."

Years passed.

Humanity began creating more dimensional gates,

allowing others from the original world to enter.

At first—

"Ten billion per gate!?"

"Only the ultra-rich can afford that!"

But over time—

more people poured in.

Technology advanced.

Competition intensified.

Until eventually—

"…Fifty thousand baht?"

A world once reserved for the wealthy—

became a hunting ground for everyone.

And now—

SWISH!

A dagger sliced cleanly through the air.

SLASH!

The last slime burst apart.

"…Phew."

Kacha exhaled, slightly out of breath.

"…That makes four."

He looked down at the drop on the ground—

a small pile of translucent gel.

"Whoa… it actually drops items."

He crouched down and picked it up.

"Slime gel… what am I even supposed to use this for?"

He let out a small laugh.

"…Well, better than nothing."

Suddenly—

"Ow…"

Kacha sat down, grabbing his leg.

"My legs are killing me…"

He glanced around.

A steep cliff stood not far away.

Strong winds howled through the area.

"Who the hell builds a city on a cliff like this…"

He sighed, exhausted.

"I almost died just now… slipped and fell like an idiot."

He took a moment to catch his breath.

Then slowly lifted his gaze toward the forest ahead.

"…This world really is huge."

Silence lingered for a second.

Then—

a smile gradually formed.

"…This is it."

He stood up,

gripping his dagger tightly.

"This is what you call an adventure."

"Alright…"

He turned toward the depths of the forest.

"…Let's keep going."
