Chapter 81: The Smelter's Fall
The colossal Smelter Behemoth did not hesitate.
VVRRRRRNNNN!
Its massive tank treads ground against the stone floor, churning up a blinding wave of sparks and crushed rock. The sheer weight of the machine caused the entire smelting chamber to quake violently.
It raised its gigantic forging hammer high above its furnace chest.
"Scatter!" I roared, my baritone voice cutting through the deafening roar of the machinery.
We dove in four different directions just as the massive iron hammer slammed into the exact spot we had been standing.
KRA-KOOM!
The impact was absolutely catastrophic. The stone floor shattered like brittle glass, sending razor sharp shrapnel flying through the superheated air.
A shockwave of pure kinetic force rippled outward, nearly knocking me off my feet.
"That thing hits like a falling mountain!" Rolf yelled over the din.
