Chapter 16 - The Revolutionary Army Is Going to Go Berserk

Unlike Kizaru—who in the original story kicked around Supernovas but ultimately failed to capture a single one—

once Akainu, that mad dog, takes the field, it usually ends in death.

At the very least, you're getting dragged back to Impel Down.

That much was evident from the sight behind him—

two Supernovas, Hawkins and Urouge, already restrained in Seastone cuffs by Marines.

Wait… where's Drake?

Did he run the moment he saw Akainu?

Or did Akainu know he was an undercover agent and deliberately let him go?

"T-Two Admirals!?"

Robin was completely stunned.

But thinking about it—

it wasn't surprising.

Compared to the original timeline, the situation now was far worse.

Luffy had only knocked out a Celestial Dragon.

Xia Te, on the other hand, intended to take them as research material.

"Still haven't rescued them, Borsalino!?"

Seeing that the three Celestial Dragons were still under Shiryu's control, Akainu roared angrily.

Having barely dodged Xia Te's slash, Kizaru shrugged helplessly.

"Don't underestimate that man, Sakazuki~ The Float-Float Fruit, world-class swordsmanship, monstrous strength… it feels like I'm fighting the Golden Lion in his prime."

Akainu's expression darkened as he glanced at Xia Te.

He had heard the rumors—

but hadn't expected him to be this troublesome.

"Hmph. Fine. I'll leave rescuing the Celestial Dragons to you."

Gurgle—!

As he spoke, Akainu's upper body began to boil.

Scorching magma surged, raising the surrounding temperature by over ten degrees.

"I'll deal with these pirates first!"

Without hesitation, Akainu charged straight toward Sanji of the Straw Hat crew.

The overwhelming heat and pressure crashed down like a mountain, freezing Sanji in place.

"Damn it… Diable Jambe!"

Biting his tongue to force himself past the fear, Sanji spun rapidly, igniting his leg in flames and kicking toward Akainu's magma fist.

"Hmph. Worthless."

Akainu swung casually.

The moment they collided—

Sanji felt intense pain shoot through his ankle.

"AAAAAGH!!!"

His scream echoed through the battlefield.

"I'll eliminate one first."

Akainu snorted, raising his other magma-covered fist to finish him off.

"Gear Third! Gum-Gum Giant Pistol!!"

"Three-Sword Style—Asura!!"

Luffy and Zoro rushed in from both sides, unleashing their strongest attacks.

"You're…"

Seeing Luffy, Akainu raised an eyebrow.

Ordinarily, he had no interest in brats who hadn't even entered the New World.

But Luffy was different—

because he was the grandson of Marine Hero Garp.

"Hmph. Insignificant."

Akainu shifted targets instantly.

With two swings—

his magma overwhelmed both Luffy's punch and Zoro's attack in less than a second.

"AAAAAGH—!!!"

"Ughhh—!!!"

Both were blasted back, crashing to the ground.

"Luffy! Zoro!"

Nami screamed.

"This is hopeless! We're completely outmatched!"

Usopp cried in despair.

Akainu walked toward Luffy, who lay clutching his arm in pain, and said coldly:

"Under normal circumstances, I'd kill you on the spot. But this is a sensitive time—you're lucky."

He deactivated his Logia form and reached out to grab Luffy.

He wasn't sparing him out of mercy—

but because the war with Whitebeard was imminent.

Even Akainu had to think strategically.

Provoking Garp right now would be unwise.

Better to capture Straw Hat Luffy and send him to Impel Down.

However—

just as he was about to grab him—

a massive figure appeared between them in an instant.

Akainu's expression changed.

It was Bartholomew Kuma—his real body.

"Another Warlord!?"

The Supernovas, unfamiliar with Pacifistas, were completely stunned.

"What is going on!?"

Akainu paused, glaring.

"You… why are you here? What do you want?"

"As long as it's not a direct order from the Government, I have no obligation to cooperate with the Marines."

Kuma replied coldly, removing his gloves.

"Straw Hat Luffy… if you could travel, where would you like to go?"

But Luffy had no time to answer.

Clutching his burning arm, he shouted:

"Run! Everyone, get out of here!!"

Kuma raised his hand—

and struck.

At that moment, Akainu suddenly recalled a certain rumor about Kuma and moved to attack—

but it was too late.

He hadn't expected Kuma to act right in front of him.

However—

someone moved even faster than Akainu.

A massive naginata—like Whitebeard's—came crashing down from above.

Along with it—

a towering figure.

THUD—!

The blade pierced straight through Kuma's abdomen.

Weevil roared in fury:

"Give me back my father's life!!"

Everyone was stunned by the sudden turn of events.

"Heh…"

Seeing this, Xia Te let out a mix of exasperation and excitement.

"Well, well… now the Revolutionary Army is really going to lose their minds.
