Rain started falling.
Not heavily, but enough to make the air colder and the streets quieter.
Aarav stood in the middle of the road, his eyes still fixed on the building where that dark figure had just disappeared.
His heart was beating fast.
He wasn't imagining things anymore.
That man was real.
And somehow… he was connected to him.
"Aarav."
The agent's voice pulled him back.
"You need to come with us. Now."
Aarav didn't respond immediately. His mind was still stuck on those black eyes.
"What if I go with you?" he finally asked.
"You'll get answers," the agent said.
"And if I don't?"
The man looked straight into his eyes.
"Then you won't survive long enough to ask questions."
Silence.
The rain got a little heavier.
Aarav clenched his fists.
He didn't trust them.
But he also didn't understand anything that was happening.
Before he could decide, a sudden explosion echoed from behind.
A nearby building shattered, glass falling onto the street.
People screamed and started running.
Aarav turned around.
And then he saw him.
The same man.
Standing on the broken edge of the building.
Completely still.
Watching him.
Aarav felt his body freeze.
The air around that man felt different. Heavy. Dark.
The agent stepped forward quickly.
"Get him in the car," he ordered.
Two men moved toward Aarav.
But before they could reach him, the sky flashed.
A dark bolt of energy struck the ground between them.
The force pushed everyone back.
One of the agents fell hard on the road.
Aarav stumbled but managed to stay on his feet.
The man with black eyes slowly stepped down from the building, landing on the street as if gravity had no effect on him.
He started walking toward Aarav.
Calm. Unstoppable.
"Stay back!" one of the agents shouted, pointing a weapon at him.
The man didn't even look at him.
In the next second, the weapon shattered into pieces without being touched.
The agent froze in fear.
Aarav couldn't move.
Every instinct inside him was telling him to run.
But his body refused to listen.
The man stopped just a few steps away from him.
For a moment, everything went silent.
Even the rain felt distant.
"Why are you running?" the man asked softly.
His voice was calm, but it carried something terrifying.
Aarav forced himself to speak.
"Who are you?"
The man looked directly into his eyes.
"I am what you will become."
Aarav's breath stopped.
"What… does that mean?"
The man took another step closer.
"It means… no matter what you choose, no matter where you go…"
"You will end up like me."
Aarav shook his head.
"No… that's not true."
The man smiled slightly.
"That's what I used to believe too."
The words hit harder than anything else.
Aarav felt something break inside him.
Before he could react, one of the agents shouted.
"Take him!"
The remaining agents rushed forward.
The man with black eyes didn't move.
But the ground beneath them cracked.
A dark wave spread out, throwing the agents away as if they weighed nothing.
Aarav stepped back in shock.
This wasn't just power.
This was something else.
Something far beyond control.
The man looked at Aarav again.
"You don't belong with them."
"They will try to control you. Use you."
Aarav's mind raced.
"Then what do you want?"
The answer came without hesitation.
"Nothing."
A pause.
"Except to show you the truth."
Suddenly, Aarav felt a sharp pain in his head.
His vision blurred.
Images flashed in front of his eyes.
Destroyed cities.
Burning skies.
People screaming.
And himself…
Standing in the middle of it all.
With black eyes.
Aarav fell to his knees.
"No… this isn't real…"
The man's voice echoed again.
"This is your future."
Aarav shouted.
"No!"
At that exact moment, something inside him snapped.
A burst of blue energy exploded from his body.
The ground cracked beneath him.
The force pushed everything away.
The agents, the cars, even the dark figure stepped back slightly.
Aarav was breathing heavily.
His eyes glowing bright blue.
For the first time, he wasn't scared.
He was angry.
The man watched him carefully.
And then… he smiled.
"Good."
"This is where it begins."
Aarav looked up.
"What begins?"
The man turned away.
"The end."
And in the next moment, he disappeared.
The rain continued to fall.
The street was silent again.
Aarav stood there, surrounded by destruction.
Now he knew one thing for sure.
This was not just about power.
This was about who he would become.
And he wasn't sure anymore…
if he could stop it.
