Chapter 7

Silence became my language.

Not the peaceful kind people talk about.

Not the kind that brings calm.

Mine was heavy.

Filled with things I wanted to say but never did.

I learned to sit through conversations without being part of them.

To nod when spoken to.

To disappear even when I was physically present.

Because speaking never changed anything.

Even when I tried.

Even when my voice trembled with effort, trying to explain what I felt, it was always turned back on me.

"You're too sensitive."

"You're overreacting."

"You always make things difficult."

So I stopped.

I stopped explaining.

Stopped hoping to be understood.

And slowly, I became someone who could feel everything…

and say nothing.

But silence doesn't mean absence.

It just means everything is happening inside.

Louder.

Heavier.

Unseen.
