Chapter 110 - Chapter 110: Planet Vampa!

"The Legendary Super Saiyan?"

Vegeta's interest was piqued instantly. He looked at Turles with burning eyes. "Who is this person?"

Turles looked back at Vegeta with a half-smile. "Tsk. Speaking of which, he actually has a bit of a grudge against you. The poor guy was simply born with a high power level, so your father banished him to a planet on the edge of the galaxy. He's been living like a savage ever since. By the way, his father is still alive too, and he's been nursing a deep hatred for your dear father all this time..."

Vegeta let out a cold snort. "Hmph. That sounds exactly like something that old man would do. If he wants revenge, let him come. But are you sure about recruiting him for the tournament?"

"Don't worry. He's quite pure-hearted; he just can't control his power very well... Anyway, I'll go pick him up first. Then I need to give him a bit of training."

"Shin, come with me to Planet Vampa."

The Supreme Kai blinked in confusion. "Planet Vampa? Wait, let me see where that is... Hmm? Is it that desolate planet on the edge of the galaxy with the extremely harsh environment?"

"Exactly. That's the place. That Saiyan is living on that planet right now. Let's go bring him back."

Shin nodded. "Then let us depart."

The two disappeared from the spot instantly.

Seeing them leave, Goku turned to the others. "We still have a day. Let's go to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to train."

Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan followed Goku as they flew toward the Lookout, intending to make the most of the time dilation for one final push.

Planet Vampa.

This was a small planet located on the absolute fringes of the galaxy.

Resources were scarce, the climate was brutal, and vegetation was almost non-existent. Due to the constant, violent winds that lashed the surface for years, the ground was pitted with craters and riddled with caves. It was a nightmare of an environment—a true paradise for monsters.

As soon as Shin arrived with Turles, he couldn't help but frown. "Mr. Turles, can anyone actually survive here?"

Turles surveyed the landscape and nodded with a sigh. "This place... tsk, tsk. King Vegeta was truly ruthless. No wonder Paragus hates him so much."

"I can sense his Ki. Let's go find them."

Tens of thousands of miles away, in a natural cave, the air was dry and free of the monsters that crawled elsewhere. It was as if the local beasts didn't dare approach this specific spot.

Inside the cave were several jars filled with a green fluid and the carcasses of a few edible-looking monsters. Aside from the meager supplies, there were two Saiyans.

These were the survivors of Planet Vampa: Paragus and his son, Broly.

Paragus had reached the old age of Saiyans. His hair was stark white, and a deep scar ran across his left eye, which was clearly blind.

Broly, on the other hand, was exceptionally tall and incredibly muscular, standing over two meters. It was a miracle that someone could grow so large and powerful on a planet so devoid of nutrition.

Paragus sat staring blankly at his son. He watched Broly use both hands to squeeze the stems of native plants, dripping the green juice into a bottle.

The old man's eyes had lost the sharp edge of his youth; they were now clouded and dull. This wasn't just a result of age, but of the severe lack of resources on Vampa. Decades in such a hostile environment had left his body riddled with various ailments.

"Sigh... Broly, I'm afraid we're going to die of old age in this place..." Paragus murmured. "I'm not reconciled to this! King Vegeta! Just because my son's birth power level was higher than your son's, you exiled him to this hellhole?!"

Fifty years ago, when Broly was born, his innate talent felt like a threat to King Vegeta. Fearing Broly would overshadow his own son, the King banished the infant to the lifeless Planet Vampa.

When Paragus found out, he had cursed King Vegeta in the royal palace before stealing a ship to follow his son. Unfortunately, both their ships were damaged upon landing.

They had been trapped on Planet Vampa ever since.

Fifty years had passed. Paragus had gone from a young man to an old one, and Broly had grown from a babbling infant into a towering giant.

In those fifty years, they hadn't seen a single spaceship. Paragus had long since fallen into despair. He had accepted the reality that no one would ever visit such a godforsaken, remote rock. Barring a miracle, he and Broly would rot here.

Paragus gritted his teeth. "King Vegeta, damn you to hell!"

Suddenly, Paragus' vision blurred. He thought he saw two figures standing at the mouth of the cave.

"That face... is that Bardock? No, how could Bardock be here..." Paragus laughed self-deprecatingly. "But why does it feel so real?"

Feeling the light being blocked, Paragus rubbed his eyes and looked again. His heart leaped, and he scrambled up from his vine-woven chair.

Broly, meanwhile, watched Turles and Shin with intense wariness. He didn't speak—his social skills were non-existent—but his tensed muscles showed he was ready for combat.

However, the jumping Paragus was overcome with wild joy. "Are you a descendant of Bardock?! Have you come to rescue us? Where is your ship?!"

Paragus' eyes were full of nostalgia as he looked at that familiar face. Bardock had been quite famous among the Saiyans, and the two had been something resembling friends. He also knew that Bardock and King Vegeta had never seen eye-to-eye; the King had always been wary of that powerful low-class warrior.

Fifty years. For the first time in fifty years, he was seeing another of his kind.

Turles looked at Paragus with a bit of awkwardness. How should I know if I'm related to Bardock?

"My name is Turles. As for whether I'm related to Bardock, I have no idea. Besides, Planet Vegeta was destroyed by Frieza a long time ago."

Paragus' pupils shrank. "Destroyed? How is that possible?! We Saiyans worked diligently for Frieza! Why would he destroy Planet Vegeta?"

Turles let out a mocking laugh. "It was because King Vegeta offended someone he shouldn't have. He tried to fool the God of Destruction, Beerus. If you play games with a god, you're asking for death."

King Vegeta truly had a talent for seeking his own demise. Beerus had once ordered him to find the most comfortable pillow in the universe. The King found it but kept it for himself, giving Beerus the second-most comfortable one instead. This had infuriated Beerus. Everyone in the universe knew Beerus loved his sleep—keeping the best pillow for yourself was a death sentence.

Beerus had simply ordered Frieza to wipe out Planet Vegeta. One could say the Saiyans' destruction was entirely the result of King Vegeta's own stupidity.
