Getting up from the floor which he'd been on for a while now, he touched his head to see if he'd injured from the impact of his head on the floor buh to his surprise there wasn't even a dent on him.
" well that's strange, wheres the chest I could've sworn I....." he was still in his tracks when he recalled the last few moments before he passed out and what was weird was he couldn't really remember the last thing he saw, he head started throbbing the moment he remembered seeing a figure behind him, for some strange reason the box which he received as his parents keepsake was now missing buh the house still looked intact meaning he couldn't have possibly been robbed.
pacing around the tiny room he could hear a dull sound in his head as a kind of screen popped up in front of him, this was the strangest thing that'd happened since he regained consciousness. the message displayed on the screen was very simple
but still it was weird to see a screen before him

Seeing these information about him popup he closed his eyes to see if the screen would still be in display and it was , taking his time to observe what was displayed on the screen and surprisingly it was about him, but he found the fact that a part of his name was censored very outrageous cuz he only had one name Ling Dee and whatever the screen had to show under that censor wasn't his name.
The screen appeared to look like those from a video game but all these was not of his interest at the moment he just wanted to find his chest 'how do I make this go away' he muttered to himself and almost immediately the screen popped up a new prompt
[ would you like to close system menu?]
[yes] [no]
he didn't think much about it and just said yes and the screen disappeared to his amusement
" well now that I'm done with that, lets get back to finding my chest " me muttered audibly
a lot of crazy stuff had been happening to him buh this was the craziest so far, sitting down on his bed he decided to take things slowly and recalling all the events that'd occurred in the last few hours .
He could recall quite properly it all started from when he found that dent on the chest and tried inspecting it with his fingers before he got injured, he remembered further that he slammed his bleeding hand on the chest and a little bit of blood stained it before it began to fume
' that must've been it , my blood unlocked it' he finally figured it out then it all started coming to him, few minutes before passing out he let a sting on his right hand almost like a snake bite , he immediately inspected the hands and saw a little tattoo spread across is forearm it was shaped like a dragon with a little red dot on its hands enclosed by the talons.
the final piece of the jigsaw , when he saw the figure behind him all the fog coming out of the box was adhering to the site of injury on his forearm so the only possible explanation was that his body had absorbed the chest and the mist and all its contents, meaning the menu or screen or whatever he was seeing was as a result of that.
immediately he finished piecing the jigsaw in his head, the screen popped up again and he could clearly see the figure which he saw before he passed out but this time on the screen.
The figure looked very dark and its skin was scaly , it looked almost like the demons he used to see in his picture books when he was a child he hadn't seen anything so frightening yet beautiful. on its head were four horn-like protrusions, two on each side of his head with pitch black eyes lined with a sinister purple iris, it was of a very chiseled muscular build, beautiful yet horrifying.
The figure started speaking and he couldn't understand anything the figure said but that didn't last long as the screen displayed another prompt

He could immediately understand what the figure was saying and for some reason all that was happening over the last few hours felt familiar to him .
" ...in the quest to live superior lives some humans made contracts with different supreme races and learnt various abilities in exchange for providing certain human resources to these beings, all original families were contracted with different races for a period of time hence they learned the abilities they came to pass down to their families and to humanity during the war although most races didn't care about humans teaching their abilities to fellow humans, some races had a strict prohibition about voluntarily teaching their abilities to strangers who weren't part of the contracted family....." pausing for a bit and looking at the human who had recently acquired the system, he smiled and continued "your family contracted with the demon race and hence learnt all the abilities of the demon race and in exchange they weren't allowed to teach their abilities to other humans and this was the only condition and your family upheld it for a long time even till this date, but due to the gate-keeping of the knowledge they had, they were seen as a threat by the government and eradicated, leaving only five of you who didn't k now how to utilize their abilities and the five chests which held the different demonic elemental abilities were split between the five of you and only your bloods can unlock these chests. "
" after fully comprehending and absorbing all the abilities of the demon race, you're to find your clan siblings, by then you would be a full fledged demon member, every 1000 years a fraction of our highest abilities are reincarnated into human vessels to hold these powers as a proof of our bonding contract with your founding ancestor but these powers can only be transferred when the human has reached a certain level hence this system was put in place to help in the development of these persons. " silently staring at the human before him he spoke one last time " do you have any inquisitions ?"
" yes, there's a lot I don't understand. why would the government attack my family for not sharing their abilities, we're not the only originals with that rule so I don't really understand....." he continued blabbering when the figure began to laugh and this made him keep shut.
" I guess I'd have to tell you everything then, the government isn't really what you think they're a lot of disguised spies from other races holding high positions in your human governmental system and among these spies are the druids, our enemies from time immemorial and they instigated the eradication....."
