Chapter 3 - (3) “The Chosen by Destiny”

The next morning, Rudra slowly opened his eyes.

For a few moments, he remained still, silently staring at the damp stone walls surrounding him. The faint sound of water dripping from the cave ceiling echoed endlessly through the hollow darkness, creating an oddly rhythmic silence.

He exhaled quietly.

The exhaustion from yesterday's climb still lingered in his body.

Reaching beside him, Rudra grabbed the camera and resumed the livestream.

Within seconds, viewers began pouring in rapidly.

The chat instantly exploded.

"How was your first night?"

"Did anything strange happen?"

"Bro, I wouldn't survive there…"

Rudra adjusted the camera before letting out a tired sigh.

"The night wasn't exactly great," he admitted calmly. "Mosquitoes didn't let me sleep properly… and the sound of dripping water was honestly driving me insane."

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"But still… I managed to get some rest."

Stretching his stiff shoulders, he stood up and gathered his equipment.

"Alright," he said while securing his backpack. "That's enough resting."

His eyes sharpened slightly.

"Let's continue the exploration."

The chat immediately burst with excitement.

Stepping out of the cave, Rudra once again began climbing through the harsh mountain terrain.

At first, everything felt normal.

But gradually…

The atmosphere began to change.

The wind grew stronger with every passing minute, cold air slicing violently across the mountain paths. Dust and snow swirled around him while his clothes fluttered under the increasing pressure of the storm-like winds.

Still—

Rudra continued moving forward.

He scanned the rocky landscape carefully, searching for another place to take shelter before nightfall arrived.

Then the chat suddenly shifted.

"Rudra, stop pushing yourself!"

"This is getting dangerous!"

"Turn back already!"

Rudra glanced briefly toward the livestream screen.

"It's fine," he replied calmly. "I've survived worse situations than this before."

He took another step.

"We're not turning back until we finish this challenge."

The brutal wind pushed heavily against his body as he climbed higher.

With every step, his stamina slowly drained away.

His breathing became heavier.

Even the viewers noticed immediately.

"Rudra, are you okay?"

"Take a break!"

"Your breathing sounds bad…"

But then—

Rudra suddenly stopped moving.

His eyes locked onto something ahead.

"…There," he whispered.

He slowly turned the camera forward.

A cave.

Another cave hidden between massive rocks only a short distance away.

Relief instantly spread across his exhausted face.

"Finally…"

He exhaled deeply.

"I found another cave. I'll stay there for today."

The viewers relaxed slightly, though curiosity still remained.

After all…

The previous cave had already revealed something unusual.

Who knew what this one contained?

"Let's move," Rudra said quietly.

But the moment he stepped forward—

He felt something.

A strange sensation.

Subtle.

Yet impossible to ignore.

It almost felt as though…

Something inside the mountain was calling him.

Guiding him deeper.

Rudra's brows furrowed slightly.

The violent wind surrounding him had suddenly weakened.

And strangely enough…

He didn't remember seeing this cave earlier.

Was it always there?

"…Maybe I just missed it," he muttered softly.

Yet even as he said it—

The uneasy feeling remained.

A few minutes later, he finally reached the entrance.

"We made it," Rudra said while pointing the camera toward the darkness ahead.

A curious smile appeared on his face.

"Let's explore and see what we find."

Then—

He stepped inside.

Darkness swallowed him instantly.

The chat reacted at once.

"It's too dark!"

"We can't see anything!"

"Bro, this place feels cursed…"

"Alright, alright," Rudra said while activating the camera light.

A faint glow illuminated the cave.

And the moment the surroundings became visible—

Rudra paused.

"This cave is huge…"

His voice echoed softly through the darkness.

"It almost feels like people used to live here… a very long time ago."

He slowly moved deeper into the cave, carefully scanning the surroundings.

Old plates.

Rust-covered utensils.

Ancient cooking tools scattered across the ground.

He picked several items up one by one, showing them to the livestream.

"These definitely look ancient…"

The viewers watched with fascination.

But then—

Rudra noticed something further ahead.

A shape.

Unclear.

Motionless.

Without realizing it, his footsteps slowed.

The closer he moved—

The clearer the shape became.

His eyes widened slightly.

Then, without saying a single word—

Rudra slowly lowered himself onto one knee.

The chat exploded instantly.

"RUDRA?!"

"What are you doing?!"

"What IS that?!"

With slightly trembling hands, he raised the camera light further.

And then—

It became visible.

A divine statue.

Mahadev.

Lord Shiva himself.

For a brief moment—

The entire livestream froze in silence.

Then chaos erupted.

"NO WAY—"

"IS THAT REALLY SHIVA?!"

"HOLY—"

But suddenly—

The atmosphere changed.

The air inside the cave grew unbearably heavy.

The temperature dropped sharply.

Not the coldness of wind—

But something far deeper.

Far older.

Rudra slowly lifted his gaze toward the statue, unable to look away.

For a moment…

Everything became silent.

Even the sound of dripping water disappeared completely.

The chat continued moving rapidly across the screen—

Yet Rudra could no longer hear it.

Everything suddenly felt distant.

Unreal.

"Guys…?" he whispered quietly.

No response.

Then—

DUMMM—

A deep vibration echoed through the cave.

The ground trembled violently beneath him as dust fell from the ceiling.

Rudra's heartbeat stopped for a second.

"What… was that…?"

Slowly—

His gaze returned toward the statue.

And then—

Something impossible happened.

A faint blue glow appeared within the statue's eyes.

Rudra froze completely.

The blue light intensified rapidly, spreading across the statue like flowing divine energy. The ancient cave walls reflected the glowing light, illuminating the darkness in an unnatural brilliance.

Then suddenly—

BOOOOOOM—

A massive wave of energy exploded outward.

The entire cave shook violently.

The livestream chat erupted into chaos.

"RUDRA RUN!"

"WHAT IS HAPPENING?!"

"MOVE!"

The light grew stronger.

Brighter.

Overwhelming.

Then—

GLITCH—

The livestream screen flickered violently.

The comments froze mid-message.

"Rudra wai—"

—Disconnected.

LIVE STREAM ENDED

The camera slipped from Rudra's hands and rolled across the rocky ground.

At that exact moment—

The blue light completely engulfed him.

BOOOOOOM—

Silence.

Darkness.

Endless darkness.

Rudra slowly opened his eyes.

There was no ground beneath him.

No wind.

No sound.

Only an endless void stretching infinitely in every direction.

"…Where am I?"

His voice vanished into the emptiness.

Then—

He felt it.

A presence.

Ancient.

Overwhelming.

Beyond human comprehension.

Rudra's breathing stopped.

Slowly—

He lifted his gaze.

And there—

Within the endless darkness—

He saw it.

A massive shadow.

Holding a Trishul.

Radiating immeasurable power.

Rudra trembled uncontrollably.

"…No way…"

His mind instinctively understood.

"That…"

His voice shook.

"…That is Mahadev… the God of Gods…"

His knees weakened instantly.

Without hesitation, Rudra bowed deeply.

"I… Rudra… bow before you…"

Silence followed.

Then—

The shadow moved.

The Trishul began glowing with divine light.

And a voice echoed across the void.

Deep.

Calm.

Infinite.

"You did not arrive here by chance."

Rudra's eyes widened.

"I… I don't understand…"

"You were called."

"And you answered."

"By destiny."

The glowing Trishul slowly rose.

And suddenly—

The darkness shattered.

Visions appeared around him.

War.

Destruction.

Endless battlefields burning beneath crimson skies.

Power beyond imagination.

And standing at the center of it all—

Was him.

"WHAT IS THIS?!" Rudra shouted in fear.

The voice echoed once more.

"Power comes with a price."

"Will you accept it?"

Silence consumed the void.

Rudra stood there trembling.

Fear gripped his heart.

Confusion clouded his mind.

Yet somewhere deep within him—

Something burned.

A fire.

Slowly, Rudra lifted his head.

Determination filled his eyes.

"…I will."

The Trishul shone brighter than ever before.

And in the very next moment—

Everything was consumed by blue light.
