At least 3 weeks have passed since I opened my divination shop.
The people from outside this village also come to this place solely for me.
There were a couple of things that I had learned about this place.
This village was part of an alliance led by the saintess, whatever that means.
Of course, each village had their own chief. This village chief had personally given me a visit.
The chief was 35 years old , I believe, still unmarried and had no child.
I haven't divined any illegitimate children since that doesn't concern me.
The Saintess had decided to divide the five villages into regions of sorts; farming was done at a different place , manufacturing at a different place, and so on.
This village was part of the manufacturing due to an immense amount of raw material , also the reason the adventure guild has a branch here
I must say, with the amount of wealth I had accumulated , it would be an ease to settle down and retire, but alas , An Attendant must work for their master.
Since it was about time for the sun to set, the number of clients had decreased significantly.
And so I myself was also waiting for my own time to clock in when suddenly a carriage lifted by 4 people stopped at my doorsteps.
As the four men dropped the carriage, two people came out of the carriage.
The man escorted the women inside my shop.
I sighed internally; so much for going home and playing some games.
Being an adult has its pros and cons.
"Good evening, Saintess, It is a pleasure to meet you." I said in Elvish, of course, nothing out of the ordinary.
The man looked at me with a partial hint of suspicion and a part of superiority.
"How may this seer help the saintess?"
The saintess spoke, "I heard a seer was going around divining with astounding accuracy and even the village chief recommended him to me."
Huh , so the chief really did go that far, huh?
I nodded and then spoke, "So what would you like to divine, Miss?"
"I am here to offer you a position, to serve me, the saintess as chancellor"
Oh, now I get it; that man must also serve the saintess. Is it jealousy I smell?
"I will have to decline , miss , for my devotion belongs only to The Fool."
Instead of the saintess, the man spoke, "How dare you? Who is this fool that is greater than the saintess?"
I guess I have to prove my own devotion to myself then.
"The Fool is the God of History , the King of Space-Time"
I was about to tell him the LOTM's honorific name but stopped midway.
The woman who had shifted to spectating glared at me.
For some reason this pissed me off quite a lot; I had politely declined her, and just for formality she should have insisted , to which I declined again and then she would leave.
But this woman doesn't have the basics of conversation down.
"If that's all, it's best that you leave."
The woman continued to glare at me before pointing at me.
Suddenly the wind began to blow fast, like a small hurricane.
Suddenly a lightning bolt came and struck me; the entire place and all things in the surrounding area had been completely charred.
My shop had been reduced to rubble , and the glass ball shattered everywhere.
The woman then stood up and said, "Don't take me lightly, human."
But due to this strong light caused by the lighting , I could see the blue skin and pointy ears and a face that was quite pretty for a woman.
The ability was at least a demigod; I doubt it's higher. Had she been a 'She', 'She' would have recognized that I am using an illusion on myself and also realized that I am Antigonus , the subsidiary god under the Demonic Wolf.
"Sigh, this was quite hard to maintain, you know."
The human and the elf women looked appalled; she was surprised at how I had survived her attack.
"To think an elf would be ruling this place; you truly are Soniathrym's subject."
I had taken a god's true name, and yet there was no reaction from the surroundings.
I could tell the elf was afraid now that I had made myself aware.
"Yo , yo…You, ho—How do you know that name?"
The men that had escorted her took their blades and pointed at me .
Of course they too were surprised by the saintess' reaction.
"Considering the strength in that attack , I take it you serve 'His' wife , Calamity Cohinem."
It was a bold guess; even if the answer was negative , my tone and information had made it clear that I was some high-flown figure.
The elf, trying to regain her composure, said, "Why do you think I will tell you that?"
"Well, if you want , I can turn you into one of my puppets and then find the information out myself."
"Puppets..." Suddenly she dropped to the ground and took a bowing posture .
"My apologies; I didn't recognize you, God of Puppets. Please find it in your heart to forgive me. You can even take these humans as your slaves. I had no idea that it was you; I once again ask you to forgive me."
I glared at her before speaking. "Fix this mess and then come to the inn."
"Which inn!" The elf asked staggeringly.
"The only inn, Moria owns it. I am sure you won't have much trouble finding it.
"Ahh, yes, bring me that escort of yours as well."
*****************************
In the inn , a lot of the people were a little surprised that the saintess herself had come to pay a visit to this seer.
Luckily, word had not traveled yet about what happened in the marketplace.
In my room.
"So , Miss Elf, you must have a name, correct?"
She spoke with a fear in her voice
"Yes, your excellency, I do; it's Sterope."
Sterope, huh? Interesting name, I must say. It seems Greek. Could the elf be of the lineage of Greeks or people who were wooed by the Greek mythos, perhaps?
"What are you doing on this continent?"
"Sire , the elf king asked us to invade this land."
"Reason for invasion? ".
"That we weren't told, sire, but if I were to make sense of it , it might have to do with some knowledge the Elf king learned recently about humans."
"Ahh , so even the elf king is aware of this now. I must say it's quite amusing."
"Sire , If I may ask, could you tell me what the reason is?"
I glared at this demigod and pondered for a moment , should I tell her or play a little longer?
Tossing a gold coin in the air, but this time no divination was made , I left her fate to chance.
'Tails', guess that's a negative.
"What is your position in the royal family?"
"I serve her majesty, Sire; I was her lady-in-waiting before my family was tasked with this task."
She said with a face of pride.
"Huh, hold on, the elf king made his wife's lady-in-waiting do this mission. Has 'He' gone mad?"
The elf looked a little pissed but didn't make any attempt to stop me.
"How is the King himself then?"
"I am not aware of it, Sire."
"Ahhh, that's it; you may leave."
Just as she got up from the ground and was about to walk away .
"Before you leave , give me a means to contact Cohinem. It seems The Fool has shown interest in her."
The elf gave me the honorific name of Cohinem and bowed and left.
****************************************
The next day.
The word had spread that the saintess had attempted to kill me after some exchange.
Arthur, who had been climbing the adventure's ladder, had been promoted to rank 4 adventurer , while not the first of his age, people didn't find it surprising that his father Elliot , who had now taken the path of a husband, was once a rank 2 adventurer .
"Good Morning , Master. Is it true the saintess came to visit you?"
"Yes , it is."
"Is she as beautiful as the rumors say, and why did she attack you? Did you perhaps divine some ill omen?"
I looked at this child who had gotten quite comfortable with me. Not that I mind; it does help maintain my humanity, and who doesn't love company?
"That saint of yours is a beyonder just like yourself, but much closer to a god than you are, brat. That being said , she indeed had a strong demeanor to her; some may find it quite alluring even.
She asked me to join her , to which I solemnly declined, and she attacked out of spite."
"The saintess attacked you out of spite; that is so low of her."
"Tell me, Arthur, how is acting going?"
Arthur suddenly averted his eyes. "It is slow; I haven't digested the potion yet."
Hold on, hold on, do I come off as stern and strict in such things? Don't tell me , have I pressured this much?
My sincere apology, child
"You have the wrong idea, Arthur. Digestion is a slow process , had it taken just 2 weeks , you would have been a prodigy.
Even for a prodigy, it takes at least 3 to 4 months."
Of course if you have a sefirot, you can advance to godhood in no less than a year, but that is only true for Klein.
Arthur's face had lit up after hearing this; it seemed he was disappointed in his own progress.
"Master , could I ask something?"
"Go on."
"What does Mr. Fool want me to do? I haven't received a single mission , nor have I had the opportunity to meet him again."
Because this fool has nothing to offer.
"Child, patience , for it's a miracle you even had the opportunity to meet a god"
Arthur nodded further asked "Whats your sequence master"
"I shall tell you in due time child , but let me remind you , you mustn't disclose your sequence"
Arthur being a smart and experienced adventurer, he quickly understood the meaning behind my words.
Suddenly my spiritual intuition kicked in.
It must be the lights, I looked at Arthur "It seems a message has come for , it best you give me a space ".
*********
"Greetings, My dearest lights, it truly is a pleasure to meet you ".
The light spoke in unison "The pleasure is ours your excellency".
"I take it about the crimson 'thing' I enquired about".
The blue light answered.
"Yes, sire , we have indeed located those kinds of item, further your conjecture was indeed correct, they do in fact have the aura of the sefirah castle, that being said , they are rather dormant for even when we brought them in the spirit world they showed no sign of activation."
"Yes, it does make sense , for those items should have only worked in the fifth epoch.
Good, nonetheless, if I may, could you disturb them to certain places".
The seven lights nodded.
"The places are , the moon city , best if a low or medium rank vampire.
The city of silver , any would do just fine
One I want you to offer to Hermes, and the remainder you may distribute in the human nations however you see fit."
The lights nodded and left.
