Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: Felicia Bleeds Money

Felicia felt her face burn.

She shot Riley a vicious glare.

Is this fool incapable of reading the room?

That three hundred thousand wasn't something she could just casually take out!

Victor looked at Felicia, conflicted.

Three hundred thousand wasn't a small amount.

The fact that she had already given him thirty thousand was more than enough to move him.

He couldn't just pressure her like that.

But Sophia didn't care.

All she knew was that she didn't have to call home for money anymore.

She grabbed Felicia's hand eagerly. "Felicia, I know you're kind. Can you just lend the three hundred thousand first? Once Victor wins, he'll pay you back immediately!"

Felicia's expression stiffened.

Of course she didn't want to give it.

But she couldn't say that out loud.

If she refused now, she might not be able to use these people later.

Her eyes flickered as she quickly came up with an excuse, her voice soft and sorrowful.

"I'm sorry, Sophia… it's not that I don't want to help. It's just… my mom hasn't been feeling well lately, so I already used that money for her medical treatment."

"Oh… I see…" Sophia's face fell in disappointment.

Felicia had just begun to relax—

When Riley's voice cut in again.

"But her mom isn't sick," she said innocently. "I always check on Auntie Elaine and Felicia. My housekeeper knows everything."

Silence.

The carefully crafted sadness shattered instantly.

Felicia's nails dug deep into her palm.

She wanted nothing more than to bite Riley to death.

She didn't even know what Riley meant by "everything".

But the implication was clear.

The Yates family knew everything.

And if anyone found out—

She'd be exposed immediately.

Her chest rose and fell sharply with suppressed rage.

Yet Riley continued, as if completely unaware.

"Well, if Felicia doesn't want to, that's okay," she added lightly. "Money matters more than friends sometimes. Totally understandable."

"Shut up!" Evan snapped, glaring at Riley. "What would you even understand, you fool?"

He had already decided—

Riley was deliberately targeting Felicia.

Trying to pressure her morally.

How pitiful…

How did someone as kind as Felicia end up with such a vicious, stupid stepsister?

Felicia bit her lip.

Her lies had already been exposed.

What else could I say?

She closed her eyes briefly—

Then made her decision.

"In my heart, friends matter more," she said softly, forcing a gentle smile. "Here. I'll transfer the three hundred thousand."

Only she knew—

As she handed it over, her heart was bleeding.

But Victor looked at her with pure gratitude.

"Thank you, Felicia. If you ever need anything in the future, just tell me. I'll be the first to help you!"

Felicia's face was pale, her smile strained.

"It's nothing… we're friends, after all."

Inside, she just wanted it to end quickly before things spiraled further.

"Victor… maybe we should just stop," she added hurriedly.

Stop—

Meant losing.

Meant running naked three laps.

Meant kneeling and calling Riley "Dad" three times.

There was no way Victor would accept that.

He turned, eyes blazing with hatred as he stared at Riley.

"Again!"

"This time, I'm not shaking. You do it. I'll guess."

He shoved the dice cup toward her.

Riley caught it easily, completely unfazed.

She gave it two casual shakes—

Then set it down.

"All right. Guess."

Everyone in the room not making a sound.

Are you serious right now?

Victor gritted his teeth.

"You call that shaking? I didn't even hear anything! How am I supposed to guess?!"
