Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: A Lesson in Authority

The one called Skipper was also an admin. He quickly found Riley's name and tapped "remove".

But the moment he hit the button—

DING!

He was the one kicked out instead.

"What the heck?"

Confused, Skipper reapplied to join the group, only to be bombarded with accusations the moment he got back in.

He frowned, tried again—

And got kicked out again.

The remaining admins refused to believe it. One by one, they attempted to remove Riley.

Each time—

They were the ones removed.

The only person who could kick admins was the group owner.

So they all rushed to message Henry Harts, who was in the middle of a ranked match.

"Who the heck is kicking you guys?" Henry snapped, clearly annoyed. "I haven't even checked the group!"

It wasn't Henry—so it had to be someone else.

Just as confusion spread through the group, their phones suddenly switched screens.

They were pulled into the livestream.

Not just them.

Even Henry was dragged in and he couldn't exit.

A chill ran through everyone watching, unease settling quietly in their chests.

Then, the silent livestream flickered on.

The camera showed nothing but a blank wall.

A voice came through.

Calm.

Flat.

"Don't play games with me. What you're doing. I've already outgrown."

A pause.

"Cooperate, and we stay out of each other's way."

"It's 7:05. You have two minutes to use the restroom. Class starts immediately after."

Howard Hort nearly jumped out of his seat.

"Damn, Henry! This new advisor isn't simple. She kicked all of us admins out and hacked our phones. We can't even leave the stream. We're stuck listening!"

Henry frowned, still wearing his headset. "I heard she studied computer science. It's normal you can't beat her."

He paused, a hint of interest flickering.

"But… she's a woman? Now that's interesting."

He rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

The voice sounds older though… kind of rough.

What a waste.

"I don't care if she's a woman," Howard groaned. "We can't just sit here and get bullied! Do something, Henry!"

Henry smirked, closing his game after securing a win. "Fine. I'll play with this 'middle-aged lady' for a bit."

His fingers flew across the keyboard.

Lines of code filled the screen so fast Howard could barely follow.

He didn't understand a thing but it looked impressive to him.

Howard stared at Henry with admiration.

That admiration lasted less than two minutes.

CLICK!

The screen went black.

"Henry, what happened to your computer?" Howard blinked.

Henry's expression darkened.

The screen flickered back on.

Instead of his interface, a giant cartoon bunny face filled the display.

Two oversized eyes stared straight at them.

Across the screen, words floated endlessly like bullet comments:

Study hard. Improve every day.

Study hard. Improve every day.

Study hard. Improve every day.

No matter what he pressed, he couldn't exit.

"Henry, I think you got hacked."

"I know! I'm not blind!" Henry slammed his desk.

This was the most humiliating moment he had ever experienced.

He hadn't even managed to breach Riley's system and she had already traced and counter-invaded his.

Infuriating.

Fine.

Let's see how capable this 'middle-aged lady' really is.

He picked up his phone.

And finally, in the livestream, Riley began to speak.
