Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Riley Strikes Back

A malicious smile crept onto Felicia's face.

She hadn't forgotten—Riley was allergic to mango.

At her last birthday, her mother had bought her a cake. Riley had accidentally eaten a bite with mango in it, and within minutes, her body broke out in red rashes. She scratched herself all over, a complete mess.

Ugly. Embarrassing.

And today—

She was going to expose her.

But what happened next left Felicia completely stunned.

Riley took the cake without hesitation, scooped up a bite, and popped it into her mouth. Her face lit up with satisfaction.

"So delicious! Rye loves cake the most!"

One bite.

Then another.

Even Elaine froze.

What was going on?

Wasn't Riley allergic to mango?

This was a "special cake" she had personally instructed the kitchen to prepare—specifically for Riley.

So why was she eating it like nothing was wrong?

Not even the slightest reaction?

Last time, she had barely touched it before breaking out.

Elaine and Felicia exchanged a glance, disbelief flashing between them.

Elaine turned to the servant. "Is this the mango cake I asked you to prepare for Riley?"

She stressed the word mango.

"Yes, Madam," the servant replied. "We followed your instructions exactly."

"Alright. You may go."

Elaine frowned, confusion settling in.

Felicia watched as Riley nearly finished the entire plate. Unable to hold back any longer, she probed carefully.

"Is it good? Is it your favorite—mango flavor?"

But before she could finish—

Riley scooped up a large bite of cake and shoved it straight into Felicia's mouth.

"It's delicious!" she said brightly. "My favorite! You should have some too!"

"Ahhh—!"

Felicia shot to her feet, stomping as she gagged and spat the cake out.

Thomas looked on in confusion.

Mr Yeardley frowned slightly.

Madam is so kind… so generous. Why such a strong reaction?

But before the thought could settle—

Felicia's skin began to flare up.

Red spots spread rapidly from her arms to her neck, then across her face. Her lips swelled, her entire body reacting as if she'd been stung by bees.

Elaine screamed, "Quick! Get the allergy medicine! Felicia is having a reaction!"

The sudden turn stunned even Mr Yeardley.

He glanced at Riley—

Only to see her calmly eating her cake, her expression innocent, without a trace of scheming.

The suspicion in his heart faded.

It shouldn't be intentional…

He chose to stay silent and watch the drama unfold.

Riley tilted her head, curiosity written all over her face.

Only a faint glint of amusement flickered deep in her eyes.

She was allergic to mango.

But before coming, she had already taken anti-allergy medication.

And in the Cole family—

She wasn't the only one.

Felicia was allergic too.

You wanted to expose me? Then enjoy it yourself.

Felicia clutched her face and collapsed onto the floor, wailing.

Elaine glared at Riley, fury burning in her eyes. "Riley, you've gone too far! Even if you don't like Felicia, she's still your sister! How could you treat her like this? You knew she was allergic to mango!"

Riley blinked, a spoon still in her mouth, her expression adorably clueless.

"What's an allergy?"
