Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

After Wang Zijin left, Yang Wu found an empty private room and sat down.

As the head of security at the bar and a senior student at a martial arts school, no one would disturb him.

Sitting in the room, Yang Wu quietly pondered.

Having lived two lives, Yang Wu was fully aware of Wang Zijin's plans.

  However, he felt no resentment.

Wang Zijin was a very good person.

Three years ago, when Yang Wu first transmigrated to this world, he was in a hospital.

At that time, while guarding the bar, Yang Wu got into a conflict with thugs from other establishments and was seriously injured and hospitalized. The scar on Yang Wu's face was from that conflict.

Wang Zijin not only visited him several times in person but also reimbursed all medical expenses and nutritional costs.

Afterwards, he rewarded all the injured people with a sum of money, of course, giving Yang Wu the most.

Because of this, after recovering, Yang Wu did not choose to leave the bar but continued working there.

However, joining the Wang family would offer much better benefits, but the constraints would also be much greater than his current simple employment relationship.

Moreover, he would inevitably be drawn into some conflicts, which contradicted Yang Wu's laid-back plan.

Ultimately, it came down to Yang Wu's lack of talent.

If he possessed the strength of a war god, he wouldn't have so many problems.

After thinking for a long time, Yang Wu still couldn't come up with a final solution and could only take it one step at a time.

Anyway, Luo Feng's rise to power was relatively recent; whatever happened, if he encountered problems he couldn't solve, he would have no choice but to shamelessly ask Luo Feng for help.

After staying in the bar for a while longer, at nine o'clock in the evening, Yang Wu got up and went home.

Yang Wu's family originally lived in a low-rent housing complex, but after Yang Wu transmigrated three years ago, using the rewards and various reimbursements given to him by Wang Zijin, plus some savings, they finally managed to move to a mid-range apartment complex.

Lanta Residential Complex—that's the name of the complex where Yang Wu now lives.

As a mid-range residential area, Lanta Residential Complex doesn't have the same high land utilization rate as the old low-rent housing complexes; it also has some greenery and small gardens.

Taking the elevator, Yang Wu quickly returned to his home on the 26th floor.

"Click!" Yang Wu turned the key, opened the door, and went inside.

"Brother!" A boy doing his homework in the lobby called out happily when he saw Yang Wu enter. The

boy was Yang Wu's younger brother, Yang Fan, who was in his final year of junior high school. Yang Wu also had an older sister, Yang Yun, who was already married.

Hearing the boy's call, a middle-aged couple came out of their apartment.

"Ah Wu's back! Have you eaten? There's still food in the kitchen; I'll heat it up for you!" the middle-aged woman said with a smile.

"Dad, Mom! I haven't eaten today; I'm starving!"

Yang Wu looked at his parents, Yang Yuande and Liu Yuhua.

"Then wait here!" Liu Yuhua said with a smile, "Mom will go heat up the food right away!"

Their family's current comfortable living in this mid-range complex was all thanks to their eldest son's hard work. Although she couldn't offer much help, she could at least ensure her son had a hot meal when he returned home.

Yang Wu couldn't help but smile. After three years in this world, he had completely integrated into this family.

His father, mother, sister, and brother all cared for him deeply, and it felt wonderful.

Thinking of this, Yang Wu couldn't help but recall his parents from his previous life.

He wondered how his original parents were doing after he transmigrated. Fortunately, he had an older brother, so his parents wouldn't be destitute in their old age.

"Awu, didn't you go to see Xiaofeng take the college entrance exam today? How did he do?" Yang Yuande asked as his mother went to heat up the food.

He knew a little about his son's friend Luo Feng; Luo Feng had visited Yang Wu's house a few times.

Yang Fan, standing nearby, also perked up his ears to listen.

Besides his second brother Yang Wu, the person Yang Fan admired most was Luo Feng.

Coming from an ordinary family, he had become a senior student at a martial arts school in high school—an achievement even his second brother Yang Wu hadn't reached.

Yang Fan's goal was Luo Feng!

Of course, Yang Wu didn't know this. If he did, he would be shocked by his brother's lofty ambition.

"Afeng had some problems with his exam today. He fainted in the exam hall during the math test!" Yang Wu shook his head and said calmly.

"Ah!" Yang Fan exclaimed in surprise, and quickly asked, "Second Brother, is Brother Feng alright?" "He's

fine. When I came back from the hospital, Brother Feng had already woken up and was preparing to be discharged!" Yang Wu nodded in reply.

"That's good!" Yang Fan breathed a slight sigh of relief, and then said softly, "But... Brother Feng fainted in the exam room. I'm afraid he didn't finish the exam paper. What about his exam results?"

"You're still worrying about others!" Yang Yuande gently slapped Yang Fan from the side, laughing and scolding, "Even if Brother Feng missed one exam, his grades would still be much better than yours! Look at you, all you do is practice martial arts every day. You get distracted when it comes to studying. If you continue like this, you probably won't even be able to go to a vocational college in three years!"

"Second Brother didn't go to university back then, and he's doing just fine now, isn't he? I'm not going to university either. I want to be a martial artist!" Yang Fan retorted.

"I'll make sure you don't go to college! I'll make sure you don't go to college!" Yang Yuande suddenly struck, slapping Yang Fan several times, though not with much force. "Go do your homework now! If you don't finish it today, I'll skin you alive!"

Helpless, Yang Fan could only hide to the side and continue doing his homework, but he kept listening to the conversation between Yang Wu and Yang Fan.

After scolding Yang Fan away, Yang Yuande asked Yang Wu with some concern, "Wu, Xiao Feng's exam should be fine, right? Didn't he say he was planning to take the military academy exam? I wonder if he can still make it?"

"Military academy? College?" Yang Wu chuckled inwardly. "What's the point of college? You probably don't know, four years later, Luo Feng will be able to possess the Golden Horned Beast!"

But of course, Yang Wu couldn't say that. "Dad, don't worry, there shouldn't be any problem! Besides, Luo Feng is still young, he can always repeat a year!"

Just then, Liu Yuhua suddenly called out from the kitchen, "Yuande, the food is ready, can you take it to me?"

Yang Yuande quickly got up and went to the kitchen, and Yang Wu hurriedly followed.

Entering the dining room, Yang Wu saw a table laden with food.

Although his parents and younger brother had already eaten dinner, more than half of each dish was left uneaten.

There was also a large amount of rice still in the pot.

Yang Yuande and the others knew that Yang Wu's cultivation required a lot of energy, so they always left a large portion of the food uneaten.

While Yang Fan, being growing, ate more, Yang Yuande and his wife ate very little, even when hungry.

If Yang Wu had eaten dinner, this food would become the family's breakfast the next day.

Although their living conditions were much better now, Yang Wu's parents still didn't want to waste a single grain of food.

After helping his father bring the food to the table, and after his parents refused to eat any more, Yang Wu began to enjoy his dinner.

Watching Yang Wu eat, Yang Fan quietly did his homework beside him. Yang Yuande and Liu Yuhua exchanged a glance, their faces beaming with happiness.
