Chapter 24 - Chapter Twenty-Four: The Yandere Consort's Madness

Kaori shifted her gaze. She beheld the overflowing Dogma radiating from Isabella.

The architect of the Empire's aesthetics wore a horrifying, unhinged glare. Looking at the black sludge ruining her fellow consort's pristine dress, Kaori instantly read the room.

*She has completely snapped. That rusted fool just unleashed an absolute monster.*

Kaori felt a rare spike of genuine dread. She stared into Isabella's vacant, lifeless eyes—eyes screaming with pure sadistic murder.

"Kyahahahahaha!"

Meanwhile, Diogenes bounded around the scrap like a rabid primate. He smashed his massive, rusted hammer into the earth with total, chaotic abandon. General Madi Roll systematically evaded the barbaric swings.

"Kyahahaha! What is wrong with you organic filth? Where did the entertainment go? Is this all the amusement you have to offer?!"

The Cynic abruptly stopped. He spotted Kaori emerging from the shattered spatial rift.

"Oh? Fresh meat? Kyahahaha! Come here, little samurai!"

Diogenes vaulted high into the toxic sky. He hoisted his colossal hammer overhead, aiming directly for Kaori's skull to mash her into a bloody pulp.

Isabella did not move an inch to intercept. She stood paralyzed, trembling violently. Not from fear. Pure, unadulterated fury warped her aura into something unspeakable.

*He stained my dress... ruined my makeup... this repulsive scrap metal must be eradicated from existence!*

The massive hammer plummeted toward Kaori.

She raised her eyes with exhausted apathy. Her Aether reserves were critically depleted after forcing the Axiom and Resonance hybrid against Zeno.

She did not need vast power to deal with a barking dog.

Kaori rested her thumb on the tsuba of her katana. A single, violently economical motion followed.

**The Ethereal Cleave**

*Chiiiiiing!*

A razor-thin flash of silver parted the toxic air like a thread of pure light.

Kaori completely ignored the philosopher's chassis. She targeted the neck of his prized hammer.

The colossal rusted head severed cleanly from its handle mid-swing. It plummeted, crashing into the earth with a deafening, seismic thud.

"Eeh?!"

Deprived of his counterweight, Diogenes instantly lost his aerial balance. He plummeted face-first into the dirt, tumbling without a shred of dignity through the oily dust.

"M-My hammer! What did you do, you wh—"

Kaori stepped back, evading the kicked-up grime. She slowly sheathed her blade.

"Your appearance disgusts me. You have polluted my steel."

She shifted her gaze to Isabella. She maintained absolute outward discipline, masking her internal alarm.

"I apologize for the intrusion. I leave the rest to you, Isabella."

Kaori retreated. She surrendered the stage entirely to avoid catching the crossfire of the Yandere's rage. Standing at a safe distance, she watched with calm eyes, her heart beating in profound relief that she was not the target of that horrific aura.

"I'll kill you! I'll shred your meat and burn it as fuel for my hounds!"

Diogenes scrambled up. Blue sparks ruptured from his frayed wiring. Black sludge leaked from his rusted joints. He snapped his deformed jaw open, emitting a grating, mechanical roar at the retreating samurai.

His iron musculature expanded. He initiated his Echo, preparing to launch a completely barbaric, technique-less pounce.

Before his feet left the soil, a colossal shadow eclipsed the ambient light.

General Madi Roll descended.

The General dropped from above. His heavy military boot slammed directly into Diogenes's spine with devastating kinetic force.

The impact drove the philosopher's face violently back into the dirt. The ground shuddered. A section of Diogenes's rear armor shattered, blasting outward like shrapnel.

"Get your foot off me, you rotting meat sack!" Diogenes shrieked, writhing like a crushed insect, trying to dig his rusted claws into Madi Roll's leg.

Madi Roll stood over him. He did not blink. His optical sensors coldly tracked the pathetic, thrashing machine.

*Throughout this entire engagement... I calculated probabilities,* Madi Roll analyzed internally, applying lethal pressure to the philosopher's spinal chassis. *Out of all the strategic targets in our Empire... The Emperor on his throne, the Consorts wielding Pure Axiom... why did this specific entity choose to isolate me?*

Madi Roll evaluated the chaotic wreckage Diogenes had generated. The variables aligned.

*I understand the algorithm now. This philosopher utterly despises order and worships absolute chaos. Therefore, myself and Lady Isabella were the prime targets for his ideology.*

"Your philosophy of chaos... yielded a zero-percent success rate," Madi Roll stated. His cold, deep voice commanded the battlefield.

The General raised his hand. He signaled the execution protocol.

Elite Orion infantry and heavy mechanoids surged forward. They had broken free from Pythagoras's shattered geometric wall following Kaori's spatial strike, eradicating the remaining Xyroth vanguard.

The Crescent Trap

The invisible dual-flanks forming a crescent around Diogenes violently snapped shut.

CRASH!

Towering mechanoid shields slammed into Diogenes from both sides simultaneously. His cybernetic arms crumpled. His knees shattered into metallic splinters.

The philosopher screamed. He was completely pinned to the earth, entirely unable to move a single inch of his rusted chassis.

Madi Roll stepped back. He adjusted his military collar, bowing slightly to the rear.

"The stage is yours, Lady Isabella."

Total silence fell over the sector. It was broken only by the sharp, rhythmic click of high heels striking the metal earth. Slow. Methodical. Lethal.

Isabella stepped forward.

Her radiant, trendy aura had vanished. Dogma leaked from her pores like thick, toxic, dark-pink smoke.

She stopped over the crucified philosopher. She stared down at her ruined masterpiece of a dress, observing the vile oil and dirt that violated her perfect color symmetry. Then, she locked eyes with Diogenes.

"Did you know..." Isabella whispered. Her tone dripped with unadulterated sadism. "...billions of followers across the Milky Way are watching my live stream right now?"

"Kyahaha... then let them watch me rip off your pretty f—"

CRACK!

Isabella drove her stiletto heel directly into Diogenes's mechanical mouth. His iron teeth shattered, silencing him instantly.

"You did not just soil my clothes. You ruined my aesthetic. You humiliated my visual perfection before my audience. Your very existence... is an aesthetic error I absolutely refuse to forgive."

She leaned down slightly. She pressed her delicate, perfectly manicured hand flat against his rusted chest.

Diogenes's optical sensors dilated. For the first time since the invasion began, the Cynic felt absolute, existential terror.

This was not an energy his scrap-metal Echo could dissolve. This was the condensed, hyper-pressurized Dogma of billions of fanatical zealots, hyper-focused into a single geometric point.

Isabella flashed her horrific, Yandere smile. Her eyes shined with apocalyptic murder.

"Farewell, you filthy dog."

Dogma of Detonation

FLASH!

The catastrophic surge of Dogma condensed violently inside Diogenes's chassis. In a microsecond, it expanded. A blinding sphere of radiant pink and gold devoured the philosopher.

It vaporized his rusted shell. It erased his wiring. It deleted his entire existence without leaving a single speck of ash behind.

A colossal pillar of pink light pierced the toxic sky of Planet Xyroth. It painted the chemical clouds in the Empire's colors, bursting like cosmic fireworks to signal the grand finale of her show.

The light faded. Nothing remained of the Sixth Council Member except a perfectly smooth, symmetrical crater.

Isabella stood in the dead center. She brushed a speck of dust off her shoulder. She turned toward her floating camera drones, instantly flashing her trendy, flawless smile. She winked with manufactured innocence, as if the horrific slaughter had never happened.

Diogenes was dead. Executed with absolute, terrifying elegance.
