Ryan said calmly, "No, it's not even 11 AM yet. As for whether I'm coming back tonight, that's exactly why I'm waking you up now."

Upon hearing this, Peter's face immediately fell:

"Huh? Only 11 o'clock? Gosh, you must be joking, Ryan!"

"I just fought the Lizard Man all night yesterday, so give me a break and let me rest a bit longer..."

After saying that, Peter tried to go back to sleep, but before his head could touch the pillow, Ryan grabbed him by the collar of his pajamas and forcibly dragged him off the bed.

Ryan didn't let go of Peter's collar until he had dragged him back to his own room.

Lying on the floor of Ryan's room like a dead fish, Peter was about to complain some more when he suddenly caught sight of someone else lying next to him out of the corner of his eye.

This gave Peter a fright, and his sleepiness was instantly startled away.

Looking closely, the person lying next to him was none other than Dr. Connors, the Lizard Man who had pummeled him last night... oh, wait, who had fought him on equal terms all night!

Peter sprang up from the floor, looked down at the unconscious Dr. Connors on the ground, then looked up at Ryan and said in surprise:

"Oh Ryan, you caught the Lizard Man? That's amazing!!"

Ryan shrugged. "I didn't plan on interfering in this mess, but my rookie Spider-Man cousin is just too weak, and he happened to interrupt my date..."

"Now I'm handing him over to you. Lock him in the Underground Room and wait for me to come back and deal with it."

"During this time, as long as you don't continue to inject Dr. Connors with the lizard regeneration serum, he's just an ordinary person."

"If you still can't keep an eye on him like this, then I'll have to consider taking back that spider suit I gave you, which is worth tens of millions of dollars. Understand?"

After saying that, Ryan didn't wait for Peter's answer. He turned and pushed the door open to leave, leaving behind a shamed, guilty, and stunned Peter in the room.

Peter didn't know whether he should be ashamed that Ryan called him weak, guilty for interrupting Ryan's date because of his weakness, or surprised that the spider suit he was wearing was actually worth tens of millions of dollars... forget it, let's take it one step at a time.

First, start by keeping an eye on Dr. Connors!

It only took Ryan a few minutes to go back and forth from home. By the time he returned to the amusement park, the Ferris wheel Gwen was on hadn't even reached the ground yet.

He pulled open the Ferris wheel cabin in mid-air and slipped inside as quickly as a shadow.

As soon as Ryan entered, he was met with Gwen's graceful figure and her warm red lips.

Well, it was a French kiss...

After a deep kiss, Gwen looked up at Ryan with tears in her eyes: "Thank you, thank you, Ryan!"

"If it weren't for you today, I really can't imagine what would have happened. I might have lost one of the most important people in my life!"

"You are my hero, Ryan!"

Ryan wrapped one arm around Gwen's waist and wiped her eyes with the other: "Saving my future father-in-law is one of my responsibilities, so you don't have to be grateful for that, do you?"

Hearing this, Gwen's gaze toward Ryan became even more tender.

He was still the same—cold on the outside but warm on the inside, just like when he saved her back then. Not for money, not for her looks, but simply to save people!

He is so kind and so great!

If Ryan knew Gwen imagined him to be so great, he would probably say, 'Don't be silly, girl. I didn't want money simply because your old man, Chief Stacy, is honest and upright and has a family of five to support—there's simply no money to be squeezed out of him.'

'As for not wanting your looks, it was simply because I didn't like girls under eighteen.'

'See, now that you're eighteen, aren't I interested?'

Unfortunately, Gwen didn't know any of this, and from her perspective, Ryan was indeed a great hero.

Then, as the Ferris wheel slowly descended, at Gwen's curious inquiry, Ryan briefly recounted the whole process of saving her father and defeating the Lizard Man.

Gwen was both shocked and delighted. Shocked that her woman's intuition was right—her father really did run into the Lizard Man!

She was happy, of course, because fortunately, her boyfriend Ryan was there, so the tragedy didn't happen!

When she heard Ryan say that he had hung her father from the ceiling and that it would take about two hours for the webbing to dissolve on its own, Gwen didn't feel sorry for her old man at all. Instead, she laughed heartily.

Gwen thought the same as Ryan: let her Chief father, who only knew how to hunt down criminals and completely ignored the strength gap between himself and the enemy as well as his own safety, hang from the ceiling to reflect and learn his lesson!

Even after getting off the Ferris wheel, Gwen took Ryan to the Haunted House to see her father hanging there.

This made Chief Stacy, who was already a bit embarrassed hanging from the ceiling and unable to get down, even more embarrassed when he saw his daughter and her boyfriend arrive!

Gwen had no intention of helping her father down either; she just called over other officers in the amusement park who were still completely unaware that the Lizard Man had been dealt with and were still searching for him.

Now, Chief Stacy, hanging from the ceiling, was facing a complete "social death."

It went from being watched by two people to being watched by all his subordinates.

After the other officers arrived to ensure nothing else would happen to her father, Gwen held Ryan's hand and left, humming a little tune.

Because of the police evacuation and lockdown, the amusement park could no longer continue to operate.

Therefore, after coming out of the Haunted House, Ryan and Gwen left the amusement park directly and went to a restaurant to have a "pretty meal" that girls like.

Of course, Ryan ate enough for three people.

And he was only seventy percent full.

It must be said that besides being pretty, aesthetic food really has no merits...

Originally, the two had planned to spend the morning buying a new car, play in the amusement park until the afternoon, have a quick bite in the park for lunch, and then go for the "pretty meal" Ryan owed Gwen in the evening.

As for the night, that was something both of them understood without saying.

But plans change. Because of the intrusion of the Lizard Man and Gwen's father, the amusement park trip ended before noon.

This also gave the two of them an unplanned afternoon window.

After all, Ryan couldn't just skip the afternoon and go straight to the evening phase with Gwen, right?

Right...?

Obviously, after twenty years of crossing over, Ryan was still not used to the openness of America.

Who says you can't do nighttime things in the afternoon?
