The cold wind of a late autumn evening howled through the mountains, yet the back mountain of the Tohsaka Residence was surprisingly warm.
A giant flame golem roared, its immense oppressive presence enough to make anyone who witnessed it tremble.
"Crush him, Innocentius."
"Roar!"
As Rin pointed her small hand, the Innocentius raised its massive flaming cross and fiercely attacked Kirei Kotomine.
Tohsaka Tokiomi, watching the rampaging flame golem, his spirited eldest daughter, and the scrambling Kirei Kotomine, tightly gripped the jewel and staff in his hands, ready to rescue his newly accepted disciple and future partner at the first sign of trouble.
Kirei Kotomine, dodging frantically, tentatively threw a black keys from his hand, and it quickly pierced the Innocentius with its exorcism properties.
Seeing the Innocentius riddled with holes, Kirei Kotomine seemed to glimpse a possibility of defeating the flame golem, continuously pulling out and throwing black keys from behind him.
Rin, grinning playfully, watched the disheveled Kirei Kotomine. A strange sense of exhilaration rose in her heart. With a wave of her small hand, her mage circuits fully opened, increasing her magical power output.
The Innocentius, which had been shot full of holes like a beehive, instantly recovered under Rin's magical power boost and grew even larger. It raised its massive flaming cross, about three stories high, and violently smashed it down towards Kirei Kotomine.
The sudden reversal left Kirei Kotomine with no escape; he could only futilely raise his hands, intending to withstand the blow head-on.
At this critical moment, Tohsaka Tokiomi, who had been watching from the side, instantly crushed the jewel in his hand. With a flick of his staff, a magical barrier barely managed to deflect the blow for Kirei Kotomine, but the Innocentius still sent Kirei Kotomine flying.
Kirei Kotomine tumbled repeatedly on the ground, finally stopping after crashing heavily into a thick tree.
Tohsaka Tokiomi, seeing the relentless Innocentius preparing to attack again, felt a bead of cold sweat trickle down his temple and hurriedly shouted to Rin.
"That's enough, Rin, stop immediately!"
Rin pouted, scoffed, and withdrew her magical power, dispersing the Innocentius.
Tohsaka Tokiomi approached Kirei Kotomine, who was barely standing, leaning against the tree. He extended his hands, radiating gentle magical power, and began to heal Kirei Kotomine.
"I apologize, Kirei, I didn't expect my daughter to be able to use such magecraft. I hope you don't mind!"
Tohsaka Tokiomi finished speaking, his face showing no apology, but rather full of pride and arrogance.
Kirei Kotomine, clutching his most severely injured arm, leaned against the big tree, still expressionless, and silently glanced at Tohsaka Tokiomi.
"It's alright, Master, it's my own lack of skill."
After speaking, he looked at Rin, who was walking towards him, a glint in his eyes. He began to feel curious about this five-year-old girl.
"Rin, just as Master said, you are a genius among geniuses, one who surpasses geniuses."
Rin stared blankly at Kirei Kotomine. 'Is this guy a doll? He's so injured by me, yet he shows no emotion. Should I not have treated him like that? No, he's one of the masterminds behind my family's tragedy in the future. But, no, maybe I can use this guy. Anyway, wasn't he easily swayed by that Gold Flashy? Why can't I do the same?' With that thought, Rin put on a pitiful expression, pretending to be a little girl who had accidentally made a mistake and was sulking, and said.
"Senior Disciple, I'm sorry, I still can't control my magecraft very well, but who told you to look down on me."
Whether Rin's disguise fooled Kirei Kotomine was unknown, but Tohsaka Tokiomi believed her. Maintaining the Healing Magecraft on one hand, he put down his staff and stroked Rin's head, saying.
"Alright, Rin, stop throwing a childish tantrum. Your father has seen your hard work and ability. From today onwards, our agreement is fulfilled. Sakura will not be sent away, and from today, I allow Sakura to learn magecraft to help Dad and help heal your Senior Disciple."
Rin's face was beaming with joy. 'I've finally changed Sakura's fate! Next is this family!' She then firmly clenched her small fists, ignored Tohsaka Tokiomi's request, and ran down the mountain without looking back, intending to tell Sakura the good news immediately.
"Dad, I'm going down the mountain to find Sakura first. I'll leave Senior Disciple to you."
Watching Rin run down the mountain, Tokiomi shouted after her.
"Rin, Rin, oh! Rin, run slower and be careful."
Then he turned to Kirei Kotomine and said.
"Kirei, am I spoiling Rin too much? Is she too willful?"
Kirei Kotomine, looking at Tohsaka Tokiomi, who was full of pride, like an old father showing off his child, was speechless.
Rin dashed down the back mountain. To tell Sakura the good news faster, she disregarded her sore mage circuits after the battle and even forcefully activated Reinforcement Magic.
Rin eagerly pushed open the door, searching the house for Sakura.
Sakura, who was watching Tohsaka Aoi cook in the kitchen, suddenly heard a commotion in the house and curiously poked her head out.
Rin, who happened to spot Sakura, without a word, grabbed Sakura's head which was poking out of the kitchen doorway, and happily shouted.
"Sakura, you won't be sent away anymore! I've fulfilled my promise to Dad! Are you happy, Sakura?"
Sakura, tightly hugged, was now gasping for breath and couldn't answer. Fortunately, Tohsaka Aoi stopped Rin in time, otherwise, it might have been another tragedy.
Tohsaka Aoi, turning her head, saw Rin, her body filled with magical energy patterns, rush into the kitchen, grab Sakura's head, and happily shout. Frightened, Tohsaka Aoi quickly dropped her spatula and rushed to Rin and Sakura, trying to pull Rin away.
"Rin, let go! Sakura can't breathe because you're choking her!"
Rin suddenly realized something and quickly let go of Sakura. Sakura, finally breathing fresh air, couldn't help but cough loudly. Tohsaka Aoi immediately squatted down and patted Sakura's back to help her calm down.
"Rin, what's wrong with you? So clumsy, and you're still using Reinforcement Magic."
Rin then noticed that her Reinforcement Magic was still active. She gave an awkward smile, rubbed the back of her head, and feigned ignorance.
"Uh, Mom, I was just too happy, I got excited and forgot. Sorry, Sakura."
Sakura stopped coughing, stood up, and smiled happily.
"I'm very happy, Big Sister. Thank you, Big Sister. You must have suffered a lot for me."
"As long as you're happy, Sakura. I think from today on, I'll be able to see your cute smile again, right? Huh, Mom, your pot is smoking."
"Oh no!"
Tohsaka Aoi immediately turned around, saw the pot billowing thick smoke, and quickly turned off the stove to deal with it.
Seeing Tohsaka Aoi, who was usually busy, Rin quickly tugged on Sakura's sleeve.
"Uh, Sakura, let's not bother Mom, okay? Come, I'll take you to the basement. We can study magecraft there together from now on."
Sakura smiled sweetly, nodded vigorously, and followed Rin towards the long-awaited sacred place.
Tohsaka Aoi, having cleaned up the mess, looked around and found Rin and Sakura gone, shaking her head with a headache.
"Oh, that child Rin!"
In the dark basement of the Matou Residence.
Zouken Matou, who had been using his Insect Magecraft to monitor the Tohsaka Residence recently, recalled the scene of Rin using the Innocentius and let out a chilling sneer.
"It seems that Tohsaka Tokiomi won't agree to adopt Tohsaka Sakura into our Matou Family. However, I still have him to thank for producing such excellent descendants! Hehehe..."
