*Chapter 2: An Unexpected Encounter*
One day, while searching for a book in the college library, I bumped into Ryan. The books scattered across the floor. He smiled, "Sorry, I didn't see you."
I laughed, "No, it's okay. I wasn't paying attention."
We both bent down to pick up the books. I thought, "This is it, talk to him." But my mind went blank. Ryan's hand brushed against mine, sending a shiver down my spine.
As we stood up, Ryan said, "I know you, you're Alisa, right?"
I was taken aback, "Yeah... you...?"
Ryan smiled, "We're classmates. We've had a few classes together."
I smiled, "Oh, yeah. I..."
Ryan said, "I wanted to tell you something... I've noticed you around, and I have to say, I really like your smile."
My heart skipped a beat. I felt a mix of shock and excitement. "R- really?" I stuttered.
Ryan chuckled, "Yeah, it's really nice. I was wondering if you'd like to grab coffee with me sometime?"
My eyes widened. Was this really happening? I nodded, "Y-yeah, that sounds great."
Ryan grinned, "Awesome. I'll text you then."
As he handed me his phone to input my number, our fingers touched again, and I felt a spark. I smiled, feeling like my dreams were finally coming true.
We exchanged numbers, and Ryan texted me later that day. We made plans to meet at the college café the next day. I was nervous, excited, and a little scared, but I knew I had to take the chance.
The next day, I walked into the café, and there he was, smiling at me. We talked for hours, laughing and sharing stories. It was like we had known each other forever.
As the day came to an end, Ryan walked me back to my class, his arm brushing against mine. I felt like I was walking on cloud nine.
"I'm glad I bumped into you," he said, smiling.
I smiled back, "Me too."
And with that, I knew that my dreams were just the beginning of something beautiful. 😊
