Chapter 89 - Chapter 89: Mysterious Woman

Out of sheer curiosity, Peter approached and saw that it was a small pillar with a round, transparent sphere.

Curious, he touched the sphere, and it lit up.

He tried to pull his hand away, but it was as if a force would not let him.

Several lines of light shot from the sphere into the sky.

After a few seconds, small blue spheres began to descend, each one connected to form a perfect spiderweb.

After the spheres descended, he could feel as if the strength in his hand was no longer there, so the sphere of the pillar in its center formed a beautiful universe.

He set aside the pillar for a moment and went to the small spheres.

When he touched them, he saw the memories of the previous Peter.

When he saw the memories, he quickly went to each of the spheres and began to see the memories as if he were a mere spectator.

He saw it all.

His first thought.

His first birthday.

His parents leaving.

Uncle Ben's death as always.

Uncle Ben always died in some way for Peter so he would learn a lesson, but this time it was different.

Peter and Ben had gone out for a boys' night to celebrate Peter's next step toward adulthood and becoming an amazing man.

But a group of gang members approached them and threatened them. Uncle Ben tried to calm them down, but they laughed and attacked him.

Peter tried to help, but he too suffered the same fate.

The only thing Peter could clearly see or remember was that a red-haired gang member shot Uncle Ben, emptying the entire magazine of his gun.

It all happened right in front of his eyes.

Because of this event, everything had changed for Peter.

He saw the world for what it truly was, a cruel and horrible place that could beat you down until you wanted to die.

All the innocence he once had had been stolen by that gang member.

For months, Peter suffered from severe PTSD and insomnia because every time he closed his eyes, the memory of Uncle Ben's death was fresh in his mind.

The PTSD and insomnia were so severe that Peter had to take medication or read a large number of books to sleep or get tired.

Now he understood why Peter possessed such a vast knowledge across different fields.

For a time, Peter had created a mask to hide his vulnerability, but everything worsened.

The PTSD intensified, the insomnia worsened, and his school life became the worst due to the constant beatings from Flash and his friends, along with the taunts and constant humiliation.

That was the breaking point, where Peter, to avoid further suffering, decided to commit suicide by overdosing on medication.

He no longer had anything tying him to the world of the living.

The person he loved and idolized most was dead, and his school life was awful.

This was not just due to his PTSD and school life; it was also caused by insomnia. Because the lack of sleep prevented him from seeing clearly or reasoning about what he was about to do.

Now he knew why they asked for help in this place; the events were not the same as in the comics or movies.

Just a few days after obtaining his powers, he was in a gang war.

After Abomination, Doom, Norman, Eel, if this Peter had been Spider-Man he highly doubted he could have done anything due to the constant mental and physical stress.

Not only that, but due to the mental traumas he doubted Peter could have helped anyone or even become a good person.

After seeing each and every one of his memories, he felt as if the fog in his head disappeared.

He stood next to the central sphere and took a moment to clear his mind.

During that time, another line came out of the sphere and buried itself in the water's mirror, and after a few seconds, other spheres came out. But unlike the others, these were red.

He approached cautiously and touched the spheres.

Instead of seeing Peter, he saw his own memories, which surprised him.

He just had to wait for the memory to end so he could leave.

Once the memory ended, he reappeared next to the central sphere.

"Interesting. The 17 blue spheres represent the 17 years of the old Peter's life, but the 18th is blue with red dots, which I assume represents the life I am living now.

Meanwhile, the red spheres represent my years in the other universe."

He thought about it. "My top priority now is to find a way to hide the red ones so any intruder cannot see those memories."

As he finished speaking, a letter appeared in front of him. He carefully picked it up and read it, letting out a sigh.

"Sigh. It seems I only need to worry about my other memories. Thank you for protecting my old memories, The One."

Once he finished speaking, all the red spheres buried themselves back in the ground, and the place was now only illuminated by the stars and the blue spheres.

"Okay. What can I create? It has to be difficult enough and something no one knows about.

And what no one knows about this world are the movies, TV series, and video games of my time."

He paused.

"Wait. Video games." He laughed.

"All these sons of bitches are going to suffer."

He said this while letting out a small dark laugh and raising his hands, and the world began to tremble. He did not know how long he was there, hours, minutes, or seconds, but all he knew was that he enjoyed creating things in his head.

While he was working, he felt a disturbance in the Force.

From one moment to the next, he went from a beautiful starry sky to a completely strange and completely black place.

"I am sorry to interrupt your fun," said a female voice behind him, a voice he had heard before.
