Chapter 84 - Chapter 84: Abstergo Industries

The news of the dissolution of the Fantastic Four made the rounds, though many people had already predicted it.

The second piece of news was that Yuri had been confirmed alive but discharged due to the fragility now presented by her body.

This was because Yuri had undergone several medical checkups which were false because he had made them himself, showing damage to the places where the Lizard had attacked her.

The only person who knew the truth was Yuri's best friend Trish, though she was not told many things, only the necessary ones.

But the biggest news was the establishment of a company called Abstergo Industries with Susan Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman, and together with an anonymous person.

He had told Susan to transmit the message that this person would come to light within a few months.

The reason he was doing this was that he did not want many people on the day of his graduation, which was just around the corner.

Abstergo was a medium-sized place but with great potential.

The location had cost him a total of one million, where he also had to buy all the work tools along with some machines, spending a total of three million.

That had been the second most expensive purchase he had made since coming to this world.

When they launched the company they also launched pharmaceutical product advances, and rumors also appeared that they had plans to absorb Oscorp, but nothing was planned yet.

....

Parker Residence.

This piece of beauty had cost him a total of five million, being the most expensive purchase he had made.

To be more specific he spent four, but with all the things he bought to decorate the house he spent a total of five million.

When he had shown it to the girls, several things happened.

First, May almost suffered a heart attack seeing the enormous house.

Second, with Yuri it was almost exactly the same, but due to the amount of money he spent, a total of seven million.

Third, Missy squealed because she could now feel like a princess in that giant mansion. These were the only four who knew about the mansion along with Susan, who was not particularly surprised.

He could not wait to see the faces of the other girls when they saw this piece of beauty.

But what really fascinated him was something else, which was his Spider-Cave.

Half of it was built but the other half was being constructed by the Microbots along with some Baymax units programmed as architects.

The Spider-Cave had several levels and sublevels under construction, which would be revealed with time.

The Spider-Cave was being connected to several specific points of the city for several of his future vehicles.

He was currently in one of the rooms that had already finished construction and equipping.

Some things had been brought through Jason, others through Peter because of Abstergo.

This could be his favorite place, which had been designated as the Suits Room.

"There we go...." he said to himself.

"This has to go here.... Done! Yuri! It is finished!" He called to a Yuri who was entertaining herself with her mobile, sitting in one of the chairs at a good distance from him and from the project, which she looked at with a small smile of pride.

"If I keep this up I will leave everything and become a tailor. The One, I am good at this."

"Really?!" She ran to his side only to nearly trip and fall, but he caught her and sat her on his lap.

"Wow, slower, speedster."

"I.... Wow...." She covered her mouth with her hands due to the impression, seeing the masterpiece of dark purple and gold in front of her. "It is beautiful."

"It is, is it not?" He smiled with pride while crossing his arms.

"Does it have a name?" she asked while touching the suit.

"Yes, it does," he said while his smile widened even further.

"She is called Wraith. I will leave you here to keep manhandling the suit, but do not put it on, it still needs some adjustments, while I go somewhere else."

The only response he received was an incoherent sound from her mouth. He shook his head while leaving the room and heading toward the elevator.

The elevator was connected to a room he had designated as the peace room.

This room had several musical instruments carefully stored along with some bookshelves and abstract paintings.

To access the Spider-Cave you had to enter the same code as Christian Bale's in the piano he had placed there.

Once entered, a sound like an opening lock could be heard. The next step was to go to the bookshelf that had all his father's books and Ben's along with some of his own and May's.

Going to the bookshelf, you would have to run the left index finger vertically for a panel to open, which would scan your fingerprints.

While that was happening, a hidden camera would scan him or the girls to match with the data in the system.

Fingerprints, height, weight, and most importantly, body temperature.

This he had done as a countermeasure for shapeshifters, who, even having someone's appearance, cannot change the temperature of their bodies.

The panel not only scanned fingerprints but also silently collected a blood sample to scan and verify if it was in the database.

That was another security layer in case the others failed.

Once all of this was done, the bookshelf would retract beneath the floor and the wall would divide in two, revealing the elevator that led to the Spider-Cave.

If a person did not pass all of these tests, well, he felt sorry for them.

The only ones who could enter were all the girls who knew his secret identity.

All of this was thanks to the people who had made change after change in the house, allowing him to have secret compartments in certain places.

That had been one of the reasons he had bought the house as well.

When he had bought it, he had put on the Spider-Man costume and changed the blueprints along with other things so that no one would ever discover those compartments.

In those places he had also reinforced the walls with modified Newtonian fluid so they would not sound hollow, the same fluid that the suit had so that bullets did not hurt on impact.

Leaving the room, he headed to the garage where his beautiful car waited and set out toward the place he needed to visit, not without first letting the girls know he was going out and would be back in a couple of hours, so they would not worry.
