"Damn it! I do not have time for this nonsense."
He shook his head as he spun around and connected a web to a building before running and jumping.
His senses tingled as he scanned his surroundings, but he found nothing before he felt the net loosen in mid-air.
Before he knew it, he was beginning to fall.
Twisting his body, he saw Invisible Woman's hands glow and realized she had used her force field abilities to sever the net.
Connecting another net, he moved away, his senses exploding once more as he instinctively thrust his legs forward to cushion the impact when he slammed into an invisible wall.
Performing a backflip, he landed on his feet and turned to face Susan, who lunged at him, forming mini force fields in her hands. He moved backward, avoiding the blow, before grabbing her by the back of her suit and pulling her to the ground as gently as possible.
"Look, I do not want to fight you."
"I do want to!" She replied as she stood up and began to attack him. He nimbly dodged her attacks and as time passed her attacks became less coordinated when she tried to land a blow. "Stay, stay still."
"Oh, it is bi-...." He shrugged before turning his head as Susan punched him in the face.
"Ha! I hit you-...." The stunning woman could not celebrate because her eyes widened in astonishment when he simply turned his face forward even though she was applying pressure.
"Look, Miss," he grabbed her hand and took it away from his face. She grimaced as she tried to pull her hand out of his grip but could not. She threw another punch with her other hand but he easily intercepted it. "I do not want to hurt you, but you forced me to do it."
"What-...." She stopped mid-sentence as she began to feel dizzy while a warmth began spreading through her. 'He.... He smells really good.'
"Shh, sleep," he said as he gently laid Susan on the floor and stroked her cheek. "You are okay, everything will be alright, just rest."
"Mmmm."
He got up and turned around before sighing as he watched the three fantastic male apes get up.
Trying to hurry, he started to move but found himself unable to advance because he crashed his head into an invisible wall.
Turning around, he saw Susan struggling to stay awake with her hand raised trembling as she used her force field powers to trap both her and him.
"Pet.... Stop, stop playing with my head."
"This is stupid," he said, rubbing his temples as the three surrounded him. He stopped secreting his pheromones when Susan stood up, but she did not lift her force field.
"Susan, lift the field! I want to squash this bug into a paste," The Thing said.
"Do it," Spider-Man said as his body began to show red lightning.
"No, guys! Calm down!" She demanded while trying to calm the situation. "Listen, Spider-Man, I know you do not want to hurt us, and we do not want to hurt you either. Just come with us, we will take that creature with us too...."
"It is too late!" He growled in anger as he pushed Susan back and punched the force field without restraint. The field shattered due to his strength. "They let that damned demented green piece of garbage escape!"
"What?!"
"Look, Spider-Man, calm down, we can still find-...."
"You sons of bitches! You should have minded your own business in the first place!" He expelled his stingers, causing the Fantastic Four to tense up, but before four bodies could meet Satan Peter, the NYPD arrived.
A drawn-out sigh of relief as the vehicles arrived one by one and the officers got out with their guns in their hands. Richards diplomatically approached Yuri, and Spider-Man just pulled back his stingers again.
"It is fine, officer," Richards spoke with a charming and captivating smile, which would have been the case if he were Ioan Gruffudd's Reed Richards. "As you can see, the situation is basi-...."
"I said get on the ground, you plastic piece of garbage," Yuri ordered while pushing the gun barrel against Reed's face, who froze as he realized that something was very wrong.
His expression was reflected by the rest of his companions who were equally bewildered when the entire police force pointed their guns at them. "You should have stayed in your lab, Richards."
"But I said it-...."
"Late as usual, Watanabe," Spider-Man said as he casually walked past Reed to lean in and give Yuri a kiss on the cheek without taking off his mask.
"Spider-Man," she nodded while smiling at the affection.
"I am sorry that we normal humans cannot cross from one point to another in NYC and that we have to use normal transport," another voice answered instead of Yuri, making him turn to look at the newcomer.
"Captain Espinoza or Captain Dan? You know I will keep calling you Dan," Spider-Man nodded when the newly appointed New York police captain arrived. "I would have congratulated you earlier, but I had more urgent matters to attend to."
"I know, we do too, so where is that damn monster?"
"You mean the Green Goblin?"
"What a strange name," Trish laughed to herself.
"Yes, just like the owner of a bar I know," Dan said.
"Well, why do you not ask His Majesty, Young Richards, about his whereabouts? I am sure he can give you that information," Spider-Man said sarcastically as Dan turned to Reed Richards, narrowing his eyes.
"What stupid thing did you do this time, Richards?"
"I...."
"He let the Goblin escape, I imagine," Yuri sighed as he removed his weapon from Richards' face.
"Yeah, I was just about to hand the Goblin over, they decided to interfere," Spider-Man lied while Reed gritted his teeth.
"That is a complete farce!" Johnny said.
Spider-Man just shrugged as he turned to look at Dan.
"He might not have gotten very far. I will explore the area and see if I can find him," he said as Dan nodded.
Turning to the Fantastic Four, he gave them a mocking nod. "Better luck next time." Shooting a web onto a building, he swung away as Reed prepared to follow him.
"Wait! You cannot just leave like that!"
"Look at me, idiot!" he said as he disappeared around the corner of a building.
"That-...." He tried to follow but felt someone grab him by the back of his suit.
"Where do you think you are going?" Dan asked in a stern tone.
"Behind Spider-Man! The mat-...."
"That is none of your business."
"What?! How can it not be-...."
"I will have to ask you to come with us," Yuri interrupted.
Richards' eyes opened in shock. He looked around and saw that everyone had their guns pointed at him and his friends.
"Damn you, Spider-Man."
