The hotel lobby was pristine. Kael booked the presidential suite without looking at the price. But it cost hundreds of thousands of credits to stay here as even the water here was infused with mana and even food served here were made from the blood and meat of powerful beasts.

"Room 4701. Top floor, sir," the receptionist said, handing over a crystalline key card.
They took the elevator. Ding. The doors opened to a private corridor with just a door at the end.

Kael opened it.
The suite was enormous. A living area with plush seating, a private cultivation chamber, a bathroom with a hot spring pool, and—centered against the far wall—a massive bed which was the most important thing to Kael right now.
The door sealed behind them. Privacy runes activated—hummmmm—sealing the room from outside perception.
Rue dropped her shopping bags immediately. She pulled out the small bag she'd been hiding earlier and disappeared into the bathroom.
