Seth turned around and glanced at Elder Ron, his gaze filled with questions.
The elder clearly noticed but still repeated himself. "Come on, lad, she's in an extremely delicate process of assimilation. For her safety, step back."
Glancing back at Kylie, Seth quickly retracted his hands carefully and stepped backward as instructed.
It seemed the last possibility he had considered was indeed accurate — she really had done this to herself.
