Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Raw Defiance

Xlynor's POV

Even after my order, she clamped her lips shut. I almost laughed at her defiance. Did she think that was enough to stop me?

I gripped her jaw hard, forcing her lips open, then I poured the contents of the bowl into her mouth.

This was different from the sedative Jojo gave her. I made it myself, and it was supposed to cleanse her body of the effect of my powers.

I knew she was human, so the effects were going to be worse and, on a normal day, I was supposed to leave her with the effects as more punishment, but how could I let my little menace remain this weak?

She retched, about to throw up, but I clasped my palm over her lips. I wasn't about to let her waste my hours of hard work. "You will not," I deadpanned, and she immediately swallowed it back.

I smirked. She had finally learned that every action had consequences. Perfect.

I wiped her lips with my thumb, but she immediately pushed me away. "What did you make me drink? Some stuff to finish off what you started, huh?" She shoved at my chest.

Maybe I was wrong about her learning the consequences of her actions. No one, I mean absolutely no one, would dare speak to me this way, yet this tiny human was hitting me.

I handed the bowl back to the maid, then signaled for her to leave. "What did it taste like? Poison?"

She turned away, her face all red and scrunched up in disgust. "Oh dear goddess, I do not want to die now, I didn't survive all this just for this son of a b!tch to kill me. What about my life? School? A normal life?"

She bent, then forced her fingers down her throat in an attempt to puke, but none of her attempts worked. "What did you give me, you devil? What did you do?"

I bit back a smile then masked it up with my coldness. "You are speaking to your Alpha. You do not use curse words, you do not act rashly, you do not speak without my permission, you do not even breathe without my permission," I warned.

A bitter laugh escaped her lips. "Sorry to burst your bubble, but you, Alpha Xlynor of Dark Hound Pack, would never… I mean, ever be my Alpha."

I nodded, heading back to the tray on the table. "Fair enough, I am not."

Even though her glare refused to waver, her brow rose. I walked back to her then stood in front of her, my height towering over hers.

"I own you, I bought you, and it's only fair that you call me master." I lifted her chin with my finger so our eyes met.

She yanked my hands off. "Don't touch me!"

"Sit." I commanded.

"Get out!" she retorted.

Sure enough, she was trying to get herself killed in every way possible.

"Do I have to pin you? Perhaps teach you why refusal and disobedience are crimes at Dark Hound?" I leaned closer, till our faces were inches apart. I could literally feel her breath fanning my face.

She still stood, staring defiantly at me. I inhaled. Did she take anger trigger lessons or something? How could someone be dumb, sharp-mouthed, feisty and arrogant at the same time? With absolutely nothing to her name.

"You do not tell me what to do." She scoffed. I could still feel the anger radiating from her.

A crooked grin tugged at my lips. If she thought she was getting at me, then she was absolutely wrong. Goddess, I was intrigued. When was the last time I got a worthy opponent who wouldn't blink before they defied my orders?

One flick of my finger, and she was forced to sit. I placed a foot on the bed, then began taking out the ointment and bandage I had brought with me.

Jojo had come to me earlier to plead on behalf of the slave. I had no other option than to listen to her. Moreover, I didn't want the slave dead.

"You know what intrigues me about you?" I spoke while taking out her bandage. She didn't move or speak, of course she couldn't. I had frozen her. She was only able to glare at me with those fierce eyes.

"It's the defiance, the feistiness, the strong walls." I chuckled darkly. "I would definitely enjoy breaking them into bits and proving that it is of no use."

I clicked my tongue, her glare quite amusing. A few minutes later, I was done with changing her head bandage.

"I don't know what you might be thinking, Shenka, but you're here to stay. No escape, no leave. You resume duty once you're fine and Eryndor will not be entertained by you," I spoke while wiping my hands.

"If you so badly need company, I'll give you a job… just you wait." I smirked slyly.

I had been away for a few days after my demons acted up without prior warnings, but that didn't mean I had no idea of what was happening in the fortress.

If her eyes had weapons in them, then I should've been dead a long time ago. Her glare was so fierce that for a millisecond I forgot who I was. She probably was plotting in that head of her's.

Of course, she hated me. That was the usual. They were all meant to hate me and I hated her too. Her hair, her weakness, the fact that she's human? Dear goddess. And her brattiness? Icing to the cake.

I didn't bother unfreezing her till I left the room. The moment I shut the door, my gaze landed on Eryndor, who was leaning opposite the door, his arms folded and his eyes closed.

His eyes snapped open the second he heard the door click shut. I didn't wait for him to speak, two steps, and I was in front of him. I grabbed his arm, then teleported with him.
