The descent from the ridge took most of the afternoon. Akari walked with a slight, pleasant ache between her legs — a constant reminder of Alpha's claiming on the ridge. Every step made her newly enlarged cock shift inside her shorts, still half-hard and sensitive from the Life Dew's lingering effects. Cum from their quick but intense session leaked slowly into her underwear, warm and sticky. She kept glancing sideways at the towering Gardevoir floating gracefully beside her.
Alpha moved silently, its long white psychic dress rippling in the breeze, crimson eyes scanning the landscape with quiet vigilance. The bond between them already felt natural, almost inevitable. Akari had started calling it simply "Alpha" out loud, and each time the word left her lips, a small thrill ran through her.
"You're really sticking with me, huh?" Akari said, adjusting the Arcus Dex on her belt. "Not going to disappear back into the spring the moment things get boring?"
Alpha's voice slid smoothly into her mind, laced with dry amusement. "Boring is not a word I would associate with you, sky-child. You attract trouble… and pleasure… wherever you go. I find it entertaining."
Akari blushed but smiled. "Good. Because I still have a lot of the Hisui region to explore. The Dex isn't going to fill itself."
They continued through rolling hills dotted with wildflowers and patches of tall grass. The air smelled of earth and distant sulfur from the hot springs they had left behind. Occasionally a smaller Pokémon would peek out — a curious Starly or a cautious Shinx — but none dared approach with Alpha's powerful aura radiating beside Akari.
As the sun dipped lower, painting the sky in soft oranges and pinks, they reached a narrow path that wound toward the Pearl Clan settlement. According to Irida's earlier directions, they should arrive before nightfall.
That was when the trouble started.
A group of three figures appeared on the trail ahead — two Diamond Clan warriors in their distinctive dark blue and gold attire, and a younger scout carrying a satchel. They stopped when they spotted Akari and the towering Alpha Gardevoir. The scout's eyes widened at the sight of the massive psychic-type.
One of the older warriors, a stern woman with a long braid, stepped forward. Her hand rested on the Poké Ball at her belt.
"Galaxy Expedition outsider," she called out, voice sharp. "You trespass on disputed lands. These paths belong to the Diamond Clan by ancient right. The Pearl Clan has no claim here."
Akari raised both hands placatingly. "I'm not here to cause trouble. I'm just passing through on my way to the Pearl Settlement. Irida knows me."
The warrior scoffed. "Irida's pet sky-child. We've heard the rumors. Falling from the heavens, consorting with dangerous alphas… and now traveling with one." Her gaze flicked to Alpha with clear hostility. "Your kind brings imbalance. The Diamond Clan seeks harmony through strength and the old gods. We do not tolerate outsiders meddling in clan affairs."
Alpha's crimson eyes narrowed slightly, but it remained silent, letting Akari handle the talking for now.
The younger scout — a boy no older than sixteen — looked nervous but tried to sound brave. "Adaman himself said we should challenge any Galaxy members we find near our borders. To… test their resolve."
Akari sighed. The rivalry between Pearl and Diamond clans ran deep. Pearl Clan valued tradition, water, and psychic bonds. Diamond Clan emphasized fire, strength, and direct confrontation with the land's dangers. Both revered Arceus in their own way, but their interpretations clashed constantly over territory and resources.
"Look, I don't want a fight," Akari said. "I'm just trying to complete the Arcus Dex. Peaceful research. That's all."
The stern warrior smirked. "Then prove your strength. A battle. One Pokémon each. If you win, we let you pass. If you lose… you turn back and stay away from Pearl lands for a moon."
Akari glanced at Alpha. The Gardevoir gave a subtle nod in her mind. Accept. Show them why you are worthy of my company.
"Fine," Akari agreed, stepping forward. "One battle. Let's make it quick."
The Diamond Clan warrior released her Pokémon first — a powerful-looking Alpha Growlithe, larger than normal, with flames licking at its fur and eyes burning with feral energy. It growled low, flames intensifying as it sized Akari up.
Akari reached for her team. After a moment's thought, she chose her loyal partner — the Cyndaquil that had been with her since the beginning, now evolved into a strong Quilava. The fire-type burst out in a flash of light, flames on its back roaring to life.
The battle began immediately.
Quilava darted forward with surprising speed, launching a Swift attack — glowing stars streaking toward the Alpha Growlithe. The bigger fire-type dodged with surprising agility for its size and countered with a Flamethrower that scorched the ground in a wide arc.
Akari called out commands, heart racing. "Quilava, use Flame Wheel! Roll through it!"
Quilava curled into a blazing wheel and charged. The two fire attacks collided in a roaring explosion of heat and sparks. The Diamond Clan warriors shielded their eyes, impressed despite themselves.
The Alpha Growlithe shook off the hit and lunged with Bite, jaws snapping. Quilava barely dodged, taking a grazing hit that left a nasty mark on its side. Akari winced but kept her focus.
"Quilava, Smoke Screen then Quick Attack!"
Thick black smoke billowed from Quilava's mouth, obscuring the battlefield. The Alpha Growlithe roared in frustration, flames flaring wildly. In the confusion, Quilava struck from the side with blinding speed, slamming into the bigger Pokémon and sending it tumbling.
The Diamond Clan scout cheered for his clanmate, but the stern warrior's expression grew serious.
"Growlithe! Use Flare Blitz!"
The Alpha Growlithe ignited itself in roaring flames and charged like a meteor. Quilava tried to dodge, but the attack clipped it hard, sending the smaller fire-type crashing into a boulder. Quilava struggled to its feet, breathing heavily, flames on its back flickering.
Akari's hands tightened into fists. "You can do this! One more — Lava Plume!"
Quilava roared and unleashed a powerful eruption of lava and fire from its body. The blast engulfed the Alpha Growlithe completely. When the smoke cleared, the bigger Pokémon lay on its side, panting, unable to continue.
The Diamond Clan warriors stared in stunned silence.
Akari recalled Quilava with a proud smile. "Good job, buddy. You earned a long rest."
The stern warrior returned her Growlithe, face tight with reluctant respect. "You fight well for an outsider. The path is yours… for today. But tell Irida that the Diamond Clan will not yield our sacred grounds so easily. Adaman grows tired of Pearl Clan arrogance."
The younger scout looked disappointed but said nothing as the group turned and headed back toward Diamond territory.
Akari let out a long breath once they were gone. "That was closer than I liked. Alpha Growlithe are no joke."
Alpha's psychic voice was calm. "You handled it competently. Your bond with your Pokémon is genuine. That is rare among humans. The Diamond Clan tests strength because they fear weakness. Their leader Adaman is… passionate. He may become an obstacle… or an ally. Time will tell."
As they continued along the now-clear path, the tension from the battle slowly faded. Akari took out her Arcus Dex and logged the encounter — detailed notes on the Alpha Growlithe's size, flame intensity, and aggressive behavior. She also added a private entry about the growing rivalry between the clans and how it might affect her work.
The sun was setting when the Pearl Clan settlement finally came into view. Wooden longhouses nestled among rocky cliffs, banners with pearl motifs fluttering in the evening breeze. The sound of laughter, Pokémon cries, and the distant rush of a waterfall filled the air. Guards at the perimeter spotted Akari and Alpha and waved them through after a quick verification.
Irida was waiting near the central fire pit.
The Pearl Clan leader looked much the same as Akari remembered — elegant white and blue robes, the pearl ornament on her forehead catching the firelight. But her expression was a mixture of relief and stern disapproval as she approached.
"Akari," Irida said, voice tight. "You have been gone far longer than expected. The hot spring was meant to refresh you, not swallow you for days. We heard rumors of strange lights and sounds from that valley. And now you return with… this."
Her eyes flicked to the towering Alpha Gardevoir floating protectively beside Akari. Alpha met Irida's gaze evenly, offering a small, polite psychic bow.
Akari rubbed the back of her neck, suddenly nervous. "Irida… it's a long story. The spring was… more intense than I expected. But I'm okay. Really. And Alpha here… she's not a threat. She's my companion now."
Irida's eyes narrowed. "Alpha? You named an Alpha Pokémon? Do you have any idea how dangerous that is? The clans have legends about mortals who bind themselves to such beings. It rarely ends well."
The argument was starting already.
Akari tried to explain — the exhaustion after the week in the wild, the discovery of the spring, the Gardevoirs, the night that followed (leaving out the most explicit details). Irida listened, but her frown deepened with every word.
"You let yourself be claimed by wild alphas," Irida said, voice rising. "You disappeared without word. The Diamond Clan is already using your absence to stir trouble on our borders. Adaman sent scouts today claiming you were consorting with dangerous forces. And now you bring one of those forces straight into our settlement!"
Akari's own temper flared. "I didn't 'let' anything happen! The land is dangerous — you know that better than anyone. I'm trying to fulfill Arceus's task. The Dex is important. And Alpha saved me more than once out there. She's not a threat to the clan."
The two women stood facing each other near the fire, voices carrying. Several clan members watched discreetly from a distance. Alpha remained silent but close, its presence a quiet show of support.
Irida crossed her arms. "Words are easy, sky-child. Actions are harder. If you truly wish to be part of this land, you must respect our ways. No more reckless disappearances. No more binding yourself to forces you do not fully understand."
Akari stepped closer, eyes flashing. "Then show me your ways properly, Irida. Stop treating me like a child who fell from the sky and start treating me like someone who belongs here."
The air between them crackled with tension — anger, frustration, and something deeper, hotter, that had been simmering since their first meeting.
Alpha's voice brushed privately against Akari's mind, amused. Careful, sky-child. This argument is about to become something else entirely.
High above the settlement, invisible to all, golden eyes watched with keen interest.
Arceus observed the budding conflict between the sky-child and the Pearl Clan leader, a faint ripple of anticipation in the divine plane.
The dance begins, the Original One thought. Let us see how fiercely they burn for each other.
The night was young, the fire crackled, and the argument between Akari and Irida showed no signs of ending peacefully.
