Chapter 86 - Of Course There Has to Be BGM

"Magic certainly exists, or rather, magic can actually be classified as a branch of science that you have yet to master."

Zenith showed Hange the grip, where a faint progress bar was emitting a weak glow.

"This one of mine is custom-made and has been pre-charged with energy. Under normal circumstances, slaying Titans with this equipment allows you to harvest a certain amount of bio-energy from them. Once the energy is fully charged, the grip will give off a distinct vibration."

Meeting Hange's sparkling eyes, Zenith pointed his dual blades toward the woods. "Then, you can pull the red triggers with both hands simultaneously to achieve an Armed Release."

This was actually based on the concept of a Noble Phantasm release. Considering that the humans in the Attack on Titan world did not possess mana themselves, a bio-energy absorption system was added to the foundation of the artificial Noble Phantasm.

Over the years, the SPW Foundation's development had grown increasingly rapid. Whether it was the emergence of new mods, new worlds, or new tech trees, everything was stimulating a technological explosion within the SPW Foundation.

The theoretical guidance of the SPW Foundation deserved a large part of the credit for this new ODM gear.

In their eyes, the functions of this ODM gear were severely redundant—it was probably like a doctoral advisor looking at an undergraduate thesis, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

But who could blame Zenith for liking it? If they actually built a single-soldier mech, the Attack on Titan world would lose its original flavor.

"Incredible! Hurry up and test out just how powerful this Armed Release is!"

Hange twisted her body in excitement, making such a huge commotion that she even attracted several guards from outside.

Seeing Hange like this, they knew their squad leader's old habits were acting up again. Before, it was Titans, but now it seemed she had found a new toy?

The guards weren't entirely sure, so they decided to stop and stay to watch.

"Dun dun dun dun—dun dun—" A powerful BGM suddenly started playing. How could anyone unleash an ultimate move without background music?

The nozzles originally meant to spray gas instantly erupted with brilliant golden flames. Zenith was carried into midair by the sheer force of the impact. He then brought his dual blades together and slashed downward with all his might. "Dragon Slaying Flash!"

It was an old friend's sword technique. He didn't use his own strength at all, completely following the equipment's natural flow.

The golden sword aura was an unstoppable force of destruction, slicing through over a dozen giant trees in a row before finally stopping. Dust and smoke billowed everywhere as Zenith gracefully landed amidst the dazzling special effects, sheathing his blades with a stylish flourish.

"That's roughly the effect. What do you guys think?"

Guards: "∑(ι´Дン)ノ!!!"

Hange: "(╯✧∇✧)╯!!!"

Zenith looked at the chaotic scene of wild flailing before him and gasped. *'What do I do? These people from the Scout Regiment seem to be broken. How do I fix them? Waiting online for an answer, it's pretty urgent.'*

Hange rushed forward and grabbed Zenith's shoulders. After freezing for a few seconds, she quickly shifted her target to the cargo wagon, pulled out a set of ODM gear, and expertly strapped it onto herself.

"Titans! Where are the Titans! I want to use Dragon Slaying Flash too!!!"

The Titans she had cherished and loved so deeply in the past suddenly lost their original luster in this moment. What even were Titans? Magic was way better—it was huge and powerful!

"Anyway, just take me to see Commander Erwin first. Someone will follow up with you guys regarding the matters here."

Hange was still a bit too crazy; Commander Erwin was much more steady and reliable.

With such a massive commotion, the guards weren't the only ones attracted. At some unknown point, a one-point-six-meter-tall giant had appeared on the roof.

That familiar parted hairstyle, a face that screamed invincibility, and an expression that seemed completely indifferent to everything. It was him—the Short Titan, Captain Levi!

Zenith memorized his aura, planning to find time to remotely feed him the power of Ultraman Zero. As a man capable of slaughtering Titans with a mere human body, Zenith was highly anticipating just how strong he would become once he possessed the power of an Ultraman.

After confirming there was no danger around, Levi lightly leaped down from the roof. He glanced at the ecstatic Hange before looking at Zenith. "It seems Hange is very satisfied. I'll take you to the reception room first. Once he understands the details, the Commander will come find you."

The Captain's tone was forever flat and cold, but he was the type of person who was cold on the outside and warm on the inside; he just wasn't good at expressing it.

Zenith looked down, finding it hard to imagine that such a one-point-six-meter body could contain such immense power. Although Levi had inherited the combat genes in his bloodline, his acquired training and personal willpower were equally indispensable.

"Do you have a problem?" Levi asked, turning his head when he realized Zenith hadn't followed him just as he was about to leave.

Zenith was still pondering what kind of opportunity he should use to give Levi power. After all, looking at the entire series, this guy had never really experienced a life-or-death crisis, and his only severe injury wasn't even from head-on combat.

However, from Levi's perspective, this kind of contemplative staring didn't look very friendly.

Zenith: "(._.)"

Levi: "...Keep up."

Zenith suddenly snapped back to reality and followed Levi into the reception room. Before he could even finish his first cup of tea, Commander Erwin hurried inside.

"I am incredibly sorry to have kept you waiting so long. Next, let's discuss our cooperation. First, I would like to know the production capacity for this equipment."

Even in a fantasy world, this kind of gear would be considered excellent enchanted equipment. Even when processed through a modernized assembly line, the production capacity wasn't very high.

"We can provide about forty finished sets of equipment per month, along with batteries—oh, I mean energy sources—capable of fully recharging each set 200 times."

It was absolutely impossible to supply the entire Scout Regiment with this production capacity. They could only pick the best of the best and equip their elite soldiers.

Of course, this wasn't the total production capacity of the various factories in the main world. They had merely allocated a single production line to Zenith for his own amusement.

The only rare material required was the Ender Pearl. Relying solely on bartering with Piglins wouldn't yield many at all, so Zenith had researched and built a low-efficiency Ender Pearl farm himself.

By relying on the mechanic where Endermen prioritize attacking Endermites, he built an Enderman mob farm. If one didn't care about harvesting experience points, filling the bottom with Hoppers and Chests made the collection efficiency quite impressive.

Erwin pondered for a moment, roughly forming a plan in his mind. Before meeting Zenith, he might have questioned and doubted the matter regarding the soldiers' pension funds, but after meeting him, he didn't mention a single word about it.

Zenith was recently considered a prominent figure in noble circles and even the royal capital. He was a wealthy man who had suddenly popped out of nowhere, and instead of hoarding wealth, he was passionate about throwing his money around, voluntarily taking over the mess of the refugees.

As for who Zenith actually was, who cared? The nobles only knew that they were making money, and perhaps in the near future, they would also reap massive amounts of crops and food.

Erwin cared even less. With this new type of weaponry, their exterior scouting missions outside the walls would inevitably go much smoother.

Relying on this equipment, with just a little training, they could obtain an entire regiment of Levis, as well as a Super Levi Pro Max.

"From this day forward, you are the special consultant for our Scout Regiment. Your rank within the regiment will be on par with a Vice Captain."

Zenith didn't care whether he was a consultant or not, but with this status, he could blatantly roam between the various regiments and accompany the Scout Regiment on their operations.

As for the matter with Levi, if there were no difficulties, couldn't he just create some? The Ultraman mod had transformation devices, so naturally, it had monsters too.

When the time came, he would just beat Levi half to death first, then hand him a transformation device. They'd be completely even. Perfect.
