"Claraaaaaa! Damn it! I feel like I'm going crazy!"
Sean's voice echoed loudly enough inside the bookstore that several customers immediately turned around in surprise.
Clara froze.
Meanwhile, Leo slowly narrowed his eyes as he stared at Sean, as if looking at someone who had completely lost control.
Sean's breath came in rough gasps. His jaw was clenched. His gaze was fixed solely on Clara, as if he no longer cared about the people around them.
"I'm tired of seeing you with him all the time," he said again, his voice lower but far more emotional. "I'm tired of pretending to be calm."
"Sean…" Clara looked startled.
But Sean immediately laughed hollowly while rubbing his own face.
"Funny, isn't it?" he said softly. "You used to cry every night because I was with Moana… and now I'm the one in that position."
The room suddenly felt silent.
Even Leo didn't interrupt right away.
Because for the first time, Sean looked completely broken.
