Tunde stood at the school gate, watching expensive cars drive in one after the other.
He adjusted his faded shirt and looked down at his worn slippers.
"God, when go be my turn?" he muttered quietly.
"Guy, shift comot there!" a loud voice shouted.
A shiny black car stopped right in front of him.
The door opened slowly, and out stepped Sade—the richest girl in school.
Her friends followed behind, laughing.
"Tunde, you still dey wear this same cloth?" one of them mocked.
Another one added, "No be only poor, you no even get shame."
They all burst into laughter.
Tunde forced a smile, but inside… something broke.

Tunde sat alone under a tree, eating garri from a small nylon.
Students passed by, some laughing, some ignoring him.

"Hello?" he said.
