Chapter 13 - CHAPTER THIRTEEN - THE DUEL AT THE GOLDEN GATE

Akihiko's Point of View

"Marco, I told you—I don't want to fight you!" Akihiko shouted, his voice echoing with a strange, melodic resonance.

He could feel the shift in his own body. He wasn't just human anymore. His ears had tapered into sharp, fox-like points, and nine shimmering, ethereal tails lashed behind him, balancing his weight. Yet, there was something more—a primal, wolf-like speed surging through his veins that even he didn't fully understand.

Marco, the massive Sarangay, swung a fist the size of a boulder. Akihiko blurred, a streak of white and silver, dodging the blow by a hair's breadth. He landed lightly on his feet, his heart hammering against his ribs.

"You have to fight me, Kitsune!" Marco bellowed, his eyes glowing with the heat of the jewels in his ears. "Your pretty footwork won't get you past these gates. If you want the Sigbinan, you have to prove you're strong enough to keep him!"

Marco let out a deafening roar that shook the very atmosphere of Biringan. He pulled back his fist and slammed it into the golden earth with everything he had.

The Breaking Earth

Baekhyun's Point of View

On the other side of the portal's path, Baekhyun was still adjusting to the strange, shimmering reality of this world when the ground suddenly buckled.

"What the—?"

The earthquake was violent, tearing through the silence of the woods. Baekhyun dropped into a defensive crouch, covering his head and looking for an open space away from the ancient, towering trees. He reached for the hilt of his weapon, his Bellator instincts screaming that this wasn't a natural disaster—it was an attack.

Just as quickly as it had begun, the shaking stopped. The silence that followed was even more terrifying.

Baekhyun stood up, brushing the dust from his gear. He could see the Golden Gates in the distance, and more importantly, he could see the silhouette of a man standing against a monster.

"Akihiko," Baekhyun hissed, recognizing the figure from the photo.

He didn't know how the investigator had grown nine tails, and he didn't care. All he knew was that the man who claimed to be Ethan's "best friend" was currently standing in his way.

Baekhyun began to run, his hand gripping his Bellator blade. He wasn't just coming for Ethan anymore; he was coming to see exactly who this Kitsune thought he was.

The Guide on the Mountain

Jin Ae's Point of View

The air at the base of Mount San Cristobal was thick with mist and the scent of damp earth.

"This is it, sisters," Jin Ae said, adjusting the straps of her heavy pack. "We wait for my brother here before we begin the actual climb."

"In that case, we need to find a base camp," Jasmine said, shielding her eyes as she scanned the rugged terrain. "Somewhere safe to wait out the next few days."

"The question is—where?" Catherine added, looking at the dense treeline. "There isn't exactly a welcome center out here."

As if on cue, a young man emerged from the shadows of the trail. He walked with a disciplined stride that suggested he was more than just a hiker. He stopped a few paces away, his eyes locking onto Jin Ae.

"Hi. You must be Jin Ae, right?" he asked.

Jin Ae stiffened, her hand drifting toward the gadgets on her belt. "Yes. And how do you know my name?"

Instead of answering, the man reached into his pocket and pulled out a clean white handkerchief. He unfolded it to reveal a meticulously embroidered logo: a silver dove in flight.

"The White Dove," Catherine whispered, her eyes widening.

"Correct," the man said with a polite nod. "I've been tasked to guide you to the peak. My name is Lennard, and I am a Bellator."

Jin Ae relaxed slightly, though she remained professional. "Understood. These are my friends, Jasmine and Catherine. We were just looking for a place to stay while we wait."

"Of course. You can stay at our hostel nearby," Lennard offered.

"That's a relief," Jin Ae said. "I didn't exactly see any hotels on the map for this area."

Lennard's expression turned puzzled as he looked around the group. "Wait, Miss Jin Ae... my instructions said Mister Baekhyun would be with you. Where is he?"

The three girls exchanged a frantic, silent look. Their grandfather had no idea Baekhyun had gone rogue to find Ethan, and if the White Dove reported him missing, they'd all be in trouble.

Jin Ae scrambled for an excuse. "Ah... my brother? Our grandfather sent him on a last-minute errand to pick up some specialized gear for the climb. He'll be joining us in about five days."

"I see," Lennard said, reaching for his phone. "I'll call my father and update the council. That way, our members can keep an eye out and assist your brother on his way here."

The girls' hearts nearly stopped. If the White Dove started "assisting" Baekhyun, they'd find out he was nowhere near the mountain.

Jasmine didn't hesitate. She stepped forward, closing the distance between her and Lennard. She tilted her head, giving him a dazzling, fluttering smile as she rested a hand on his arm.

"You know, Lennard... I am absolutely starving and so incredibly tired," Jasmine purred, her voice dropping into a flirtatious pout. "Could you be a dear and lead us to this hostel right now? Please, baby?"

Beside them, Jin Ae and Catherine nearly choked, biting their lips and looking at the ground to keep from bursting into laughter at Jasmine's sudden "damsel in distress" act.

Lennard blinked, his face turning a bright shade of red. He tucked his phone back into his pocket, completely flustered. "I—uh, yes. Of course. Right this way."

A Predator's Hunger

Kaito's Point of View

Inside the hotel room, the city lights blurred against the floor-to-ceiling glass. Kaito pressed Alexis's body firmly against the cold pane, a stark contrast to the heat radiating between them. They were both naked, their silhouettes visible to the world below, though Kaito cared little for who might be watching.

He kissed Alexis deeply before trailing his lips down the man's chest. When Kaito's mouth found him, circling and teasing with a practiced hunger, Alexis let out a low, guttural growl, his fingers tangling in Kaito's hair.

"Oh... please, don't stop," Alexis gasped, his back arching against the glass.

"I've missed this," Kaito murmured against his skin, his voice a velvet warning. "It's been a century since I last took a lover... or a slave."

"Please," Alexis begged, his voice straining with desperation. "I want you inside me. Now. I need to feel how hard you are."

Kaito's eyes flared a predatory red. He didn't make him wait any longer. With a sharp, sudden movement, he claimed Alexis, driving himself home. Alexis gasped, his head falling back against the glass as he took the full length of him.

"You're... so big," Alexis choked out, his eyes fluttering. "God, you're so hard."

Kaito began to move, his rhythm steady and punishing. As the pace quickened, Alexis's cries filled the room, a mix of pure pleasure and the sharp sting of Kaito's intensity.

"Faster," Alexis hissed through gritted teeth, biting his lip. "Please, faster!"

"As you wish," Kaito whispered. He surged into him with newfound speed, his strength nearly overwhelming the human.

Seeking a change, Kaito moved to the plush velvet couch, reclining as Alexis moved to take control. Alexis straddled him, eyes locked onto Kaito's as he slowly lowered himself back down, taking every inch until they were flush against each other.

"Let's see how well you can ride," Alexis whispered with a frantic grin, beginning to grind his hips in a frantic, driving motion.

"You're good," Kaito groaned, his head falling back. "Yes... Hayaku! Faster!"

The friction was becoming unbearable, a mounting pressure that threatened to shatter Kaito's control. Sensing he was near his limit, Kaito gripped Alexis's hips and flipped him onto the cushions, pinning him down. He buried himself deep within Alexis's heat, his movements becoming primal and focused.

He leaned down, biting and kissing the pulse point on Alexis's neck as he drove toward the finish.

"Oh! Baby, please... breed me!" Alexis cried out, his body trembling beneath Kaito's weight.

"As you wish, my queen," Kaito growled. He surrendered to the sensation, his body tightening as he reached the peak.

"I'm going to cum!"

"Inside! Give it all to me!"

Kaito let out a final, animalistic roar as he surrendered his load, a violent burst of heat that left them both breathless. Alexis slumped into the cushions, a dazed, satisfied smile on his face.

"Oh my god," Alexis whispered, trying to catch his breath. "It's so warm... thank you."

The Rescue at the Gate

Akihiko's Point of View

Aki continued his deadly dance, dodging Marco's heavy swings with practiced ease. But the Sarangay was more than just brute strength. In a shimmer of golden light, the beast created a perfect illusion, doubling himself.

Aki lunged toward the wrong target.

"This is your end, Kitsune!" the real Marco bellowed. He raised his massive axe high, the blade gleaming with intent as he brought it down toward Aki's head.

Suddenly, a silver flash whistled through the air. A Bolo knife slammed into Marco's shoulder with bone-crushing force. The beast let out a harrowing scream of pain, stumbling back as the axe fell harmlessly into the dirt.

Aki stared in shock as the knife pulled itself out of the creature's flesh and flew backward through the air, landing perfectly in the hand of a newcomer.

Baekhyun stepped out of the mist, his grip tight on his weapon.

"Are you okay, bro?" Baekhyun asked, reaching down to pull Aki to his feet.

Aki exhaled, his fox ears twitching as he steadied himself. "Yeah... thank you. That was way too close."

Despite the help, a flicker of tension passed between them. Aki knew Baekhyun wasn't just there to save a fellow traveler—they were both there for the same man.

The Viewing Spring

The White Dove Headquarters

Inside the facility, the atmosphere was frantic. Ethan paced in front of the spring, his eyes glued to the image of Aki and Baekhyun standing side-by-side.

"Let me go out there!" Ethan demanded, turning to the leaders. "They're here for me. I can explain everything—they'll listen!"

Inspector Cristine stepped forward, her presence commanding and cold. "I'm sorry, Ethan, but we cannot allow that. You are still in training. Even though you've mastered your transformation, your spirit is still vulnerable to the entities that roam the borders of this realm."

"She's right," Minjoon added, his voice soft but firm. "Our bodies act as portals here. You aren't on Earth anymore, Ethan; this is Biringan. Exposing yourself now could be fatal."

Ethan looked back at the water, his heart aching for the two men risking their lives at the gate.

"I will speak to the Council," Inspector Cristine said, sensing his desperation. "I'll ask for permission to bring them inside. Minjoon, you will be the one to meet them at the gate and lead them here. Wait for my word."

The Predator Revealed

Kaito's Point of View

Back in the hotel room, the afterglow of the intimacy vanished in an instant. The air turned cold as Kaito's skin began to shift. Fur sprouted along his spine, and a single, ink-black tail lashed out behind him.

Alexis scrambled back, his face pale with horror. "What... what are you? What kind of monster—"

"I am a Black Kitsune," Kaito hissed.

Before Alexis could scream, Kaito lunged. He caught the man by the throat, his fangs sinking deep into the side of his neck. Hot, metallic blood flooded Kaito's mouth—the ultimate prize.

In a blind panic, Alexis's hand caught a small ceramic flower vase on the bedside table. He smashed it against the side of Kaito's head with all his remaining strength.

The blow caught Kaito off guard, loosening his grip for just a second. It was all the opening Alexis needed. Stumbling, blood pouring from his neck, the man bolted for the door, completely naked and fueled by pure adrenaline.

"HELP! SOMEONE HELP!" Alexis screamed, his voice echoing down the hallway as he tried to staunch the bleeding with his bare hands.

Kaito stood in the doorway, slowly wiping the crimson smear from his lips. His eyes glowed a murderous red.

"Come back here, you bastard," Kaito whispered, his voice a low growl. "I'm not finished with you yet."
