Gu Yanxu and the others, who were still inside, only came out after hearing that Zhang Hongmei had left.

Bai Tang said, "I asked you to come here to ask where Zhang Hongmei and the others are renting a place."
Duan Jia immediately said with annoyance, "Could it be that they're trying to cling to you? I shouldn't have told her."
Bai Tang shook her head and said, "No, she didn't try to take advantage of us. She came to our house to express her gratitude."
So I wanted to ask you where she lives.
Duan Jia returned to the counter, took out a map, and carefully marked the locations and routes for Bai Tang and the other person.

The old man quickly let her in, and Gu Yanxu followed behind with the cage in his arms.
Once inside, they discovered that it seemed only elderly people and children lived there.

Bai Tang asked Grandma Feng, "Did Sister Hongmei and the others go to look for work? Or should we leave our things here and come back another day?"
Grandma Feng said, "They split into two groups. One group went to look for jobs, and the other group went to buy things for their home."
"Wait a little longer, they might be on their way back. We can't very well accept the rabbit you offered."
The room was full of women, and Gu Yanxu, a grown man, felt out of place, so he greeted Bai Tang and Grandma Feng and then went back to his car.
Not long after, Gu Yanxu saw Zhang Hongmei returning with some people, carrying some things, from the car.
When Zhang Hongmei arrived at her own doorstep and saw a car parked there, she was puzzled, wondering whose car it was that was parked in front of someone else's house.
Just as she was about to go up and argue with him, the car door opened, and Gu Yanxu got out and greeted her.
"Sister Hongmei, my wife and I came to see you. She's inside, and it's inconvenient for a grown man like me to go in."
While replying to Gu Yanxu, Zhang Hongmei said, "Okay, I'll go in first then," and had her things moved into the house.
Zhang Hongmei quickly went into the house and saw Bai Tang.
Bai Tang stood up from the bedside and said, "Sister Hongmei, you're finally back! I brought you a pair of wild rabbits."
Just as Zhang Hongmei was about to refuse, Bai Tang continued, "Then I'll be too embarrassed to accept what you're giving me. You can keep this wild rabbit."
Bai Tang has always believed in cause and effect, that there is no effect without a cause, so she is never willing to owe anyone anything.
After thinking for a moment, Zhang Hongmei finally accepted it. Just as Bai Tang said, gold is considered a hard currency in the base.

The two wild rabbits that Bai Tang sent, one male and one female, are perfect for pairing up and raising. Soon they will be able to eat wild rabbit meat.
Zhang Hongmei said apologetically, "I'm sorry you had to see this. I didn't even let you drink a drop of hot water."
"We haven't packed our things yet. We'll invite you over when we've finished."
Bai Tang: "These are all minor matters, it's alright."
Bai Tang said goodbye to them, and Zhang Hongmei saw her off at the door, watching her get into the car before going back.
Back inside, Grandma Feng said to Zhang Hongmei, "Hongmei, we really met some good people."
Looking at the two lively rabbits, Zhang Hongmei held back her tears and nodded vigorously: "Yes, we've met good people."
After Bai Tang and Gu Yanxu left Zhang Hongmei's house, they did not drive straight home.
Gu Yanxu drove to the base supermarket, where Bai Tang said she would occasionally buy supplies to consume contribution points.
They shopped at the base supermarket, and since the two of them rarely had time to be alone during the day, Gu Yanxu drove Bai Tang around the base.
