With that thought pushing me forward, I forced myself out of bed and hurried into the bathroom.
Everything that followed was rushed.
I brushed my teeth quickly, barely sparing a second glance at my reflection, then stepped into the shower, letting the water run over me just long enough to wake me up. The cool sensation helped clear the lingering fog in my mind, grounding me slightly.
Within minutes, I was done.
