Stephan carried Stevan into the room himself.
He didn't trust anyone else with it.
The doctor arrived shortly after and checked on him.
"Nothing serious," he said."He just needs rest."
Stephan nodded.
But his mind wasn't there.
It kept going back…
To her.
The way she didn't hesitate. The way she didn't panic. The way she walked away…
Like it meant nothing.
Stephan had always believed that people only did things for their own benefit.
But this…
didn't feel like that.
She didn't ask for anything.
She didn't even stay.
And for some reason…
that stayed with him.
"Bhai…"
Stephan looked at Stevan.
"I really like that girl."
A small smile appeared on his face.
"I want her to be my sister-in-law."
Stephan almost smiled.
Almost.
By evening, all the students had gathered for dinner.
Laughter filled the air.
Everything felt normal again.
Except for him.
His eyes searched for her—
And found her.
Pixel.
He wanted to talk to her.
Say something.
Anything.
But the moment never felt right.
Finally, he walked towards Johan and Hill.
"I need your help," he said.
They smirked and teased him a little, but helped anyway.
A space was created beside Pixel.
Stephan sat down.
For a moment…
he didn't know what to say.
Then finally—
"Thank you."
His voice was low.
Pixel looked at him.
Stephan continued, a little more clearly—
"For saving him…I didn't even understand what was happening."
There was a pause.
As if he wanted to say more—
but didn't know how.
"It's okay," Pixel replied simply.
She didn't make it a big deal.
And somehow…
that made it feel even bigger to him.
"And… you can take my number," Stephan added.
Pixel didn't react much.
She simply took Ketty's phone and handed it to him.
"Save it here."
Stephan paused for a second.
Then it clicked.
So the number wasn't for her.
Something about that…
didn't feel right.
Pixel asked,"How is your brother now?"
"He's resting," Stephan replied.
A normal conversation.
Yet… something felt incomplete.
Later, Stephan's phone rang.
It was Stevan.
"I want to talk to her."
Stephan looked at Pixel…
then handed the phone to her.
"Hello?"
Her voice was calm.
"Will you come meet me?"
Pixel paused for a moment.
"Okay. I'll come in a while."
Stephan stood up with her.
He thought—
they would go together.
But then—
Ketty stood up too.
Pixel didn't stop her.
Something shifted.
Very slightly.
But enough to be noticed.
They walked together.
Pixel ahead.
Ketty beside Stephan.
Ketty tried to talk.
"So… your brother is fine now?"
Stephan replied.
But his attention wasn't there.
It kept going to Pixel.
And then—
an awkward silence.
Pixel slowed down slightly,as if waiting for them to walk together.
But Stephan didn't move closer.
And Ketty noticed it.
Three people.
Same path.
Different intentions.
While Ketty tried to get closer to Stephan—
Stephan kept looking at Pixel.
And Pixel—
was trying to bring them closer.
None of it was working.
And that's when it hit him.
He wasn't sure why…
but the fact that she brought someone elsebothered him more than it should have.
And maybe…
for the first time—
Stephan felt something he couldn't ignore.
