The Tombs of the Star Corridor remained quiet.
Kenjaku was still considering Takeru's offer.
Takeru, however, clearly wasn't finished selling the idea.
"There are benefits!"
Kenjaku looked at him.
"…Benefits?"
Takeru nodded enthusiastically.
"Absolutely."
Kenjaku folded his arms.
"And what, exactly, are these benefits?"
Takeru raised one finger.
"Pizza."
Kenjaku stared at him.
Takeru raised a second finger.
"And…"
He paused dramatically.
"…Pizza."
Silence.
Kenjaku blinked.
"That is the same benefit."
"No."
Takeru shook his head.
"It's two benefits."
"They are both pizza."
"Exactly."
Kenjaku sighed.
"You are attempting to convince an ancient sorcerer to abandon centuries of planning with pizza."
Takeru nodded.
"Correct."
"And you believe this will work?"
Takeru smiled.
"Maybe."
Kenjaku stared at him.
"What else?"
Takeru thought.
"…More pizza?"
"No."
"Beach."
"No."
"Family bonding?"
Kenjaku's eyebrow twitched.
"…Perhaps."
Takeru immediately grinned.
"See?"
Kenjaku looked away.
"I didn't agree to anything."
Takeru nodded.
"Yet."
Kenjaku sighed.
Takeru pointed toward the exit.
"Come on, Dad."
"Where?"
"Pizza."
Kenjaku paused.
"…What kind?"
Takeru smiled.
"Now we're getting somewhere."
