Chapter 296 - Chapter 7: “Grandpa Gojo?”

The house had somehow become even louder.

Tiny Yuji was climbing on Panda.

Tiny Takeru was trying to convince Takaba that dinosaurs still existed.

Takaba was agreeing immediately.

Meanwhile—

Wasuke sat in the middle of all of it looking deeply exhausted.

"…I should've stayed asleep today."

Older Gojo suddenly walked over quietly.

For once—

without joking.

Then—

he hugged Wasuke.

The room paused slightly.

Wasuke blinked.

"…Uh?"

Gojo held the hug for a moment longer than expected.

Like grounding himself.

"…Thanks."

He said it quietly.

Sincerely.

Wasuke looked confused—

but patted his back awkwardly anyway.

"…Sure?"

Young Gojo stared at this suspiciously.

"…Why are you emotional."

Older Gojo stepped back slightly.

Smile returning.

"…No reason."

Young Gojo narrowed his eyes.

Then—

completely ignoring logic—

also hugged Wasuke.

"…I don't know why I'm doing this."

Wasuke looked even more confused now.

"…What is happening."

Takeru looked over casually while tiny Takeru hung off his arm.

"Oh yeah, young Gojo."

A bite of snack.

"That's your grandpa."

Silence.

Young Gojo froze completely.

"…My WHAT."

Older Gojo immediately started laughing.

"…Yeah good luck processing that."

Young Gojo slowly looked at Wasuke.

Then at Yuji.

Then at Takeru.

Then back at Wasuke.

"…WAIT."

Tiny Yuji pointed dramatically.

"GOJO HAS A GRANDPA!"

Tiny Takeru gasped louder somehow.

"NO WAY."

Young Gojo looked horrified.

"…I HAVE FAMILY STRUCTURE!?"

Utahime, who had come along against her will, immediately spoke.

"…That sentence explains everything wrong with you."

Wasuke rubbed his temples.

"So let me understand this."

He pointed carefully.

"One white-haired idiot is from the future."

Then pointed at young Gojo.

"And the other white-haired idiot is a teenager."

"…Correct," Nanami answered.

"…And somehow I'm related to both."

"…Unfortunately."

Young Gojo looked genuinely shaken.

"…I have a grandpa…"

Older Geto smirked slightly.

"You sound traumatized."

"…I thought I spawned naturally."

"YOU ARE NOT A VIDEO GAME BOSS," Shoko yelled instantly.

Meanwhile—

Takeru was completely focused elsewhere already.

He pointed around the room dramatically while introducing everyone to the tiny versions of himself and Yuji.

"Okay!"

He pointed first.

"That's Megumi."

Tiny Takeru squinted.

"…He looks tired."

"…He always does," Yuji answered.

"That's Nobara."

Tiny Yuji gasped.

"She looks mean."

Nobara pointed immediately.

"I AM."

"That's Panda."

Tiny Yuji froze.

"…A REAL PANDA!?"

Panda nodded proudly.

"Indeed."

Tiny Takeru immediately hugged Panda's stomach.

"…Soft…"

Panda looked emotional instantly.

"…Smaller brother…"

Takeru kept going proudly.

"That's Choso."

Tiny Yuji tilted his head.

"…He looks like he listens to sad music."

"…Correct again," Choso admitted quietly.

"That's Sukuna."

The room paused.

Tiny Takeru blinked at the giant manifested King of Curses.

"…He looks homeless."

Everyone exploded laughing.

Even Sukuna looked offended.

"…BRAT."

Tiny Yuji pointed too.

"And angry!"

"…I WILL EAT BOTH OF YOU."

"NUH UH," tiny Takeru answered instantly.

Young Gojo was still in the background having a crisis.

"…I have a grandpa…"

Wasuke sighed deeply.

Then patted young Gojo on the shoulder.

"…You're weird too, huh."

Young Gojo stared at him for a second.

Then slowly smiled.

"…Yeah."

And somehow—

despite timelines breaking apart—

despite curses—

despite fate itself getting confused—

the house just felt warm.

Like family.
