Chapter 294 - Chapter 5: “Grandpa”

Against everyone's better judgment—

they went.

Because once Takeru got an idea into his head, stopping him was basically impossible.

And Yuji was encouraging him.

Which somehow made it worse.

So now—

a huge group of sorcerers stood outside a small home.

Quiet neighborhood.

Warm afternoon breeze.

Normal.

Peaceful.

Takeru stared at the house silently.

For once—

actually quiet.

Yuji stood beside him.

Hands in his pockets.

Also quiet.

Older Gojo glanced between them.

Then softened slightly.

"…You sure?"

Yuji nodded slowly.

"…Yeah."

Takeru inhaled once.

Then walked forward and knocked on the door.

A few seconds passed.

Footsteps approached.

Then—

the door opened.

An older man stood there.

Strong eyes.

Tired posture.

But familiar.

So familiar.

Wasuke Itadori.

Wasuke Itadori

He blinked slowly at the massive crowd outside his house.

"…Uh."

But before he could say anything—

two figures suddenly rushed forward.

"GRANDPA!"

Yuji and Takeru both practically launched themselves at him.

Wasuke barely had time to react before both boys wrapped around him in a crushing hug.

"…WHA—"

"GRANDPA!"

Yuji's voice cracked slightly.

Takeru was already tearing up too.

"We missed you…"

Wasuke stood frozen.

Completely confused.

"…Do I know you kids?"

Yuji laughed weakly through tears.

"…Kinda…"

Takeru held tighter for a second.

"…Sorry."

Wasuke slowly relaxed after a moment.

Still confused.

But something in their voices hit him deeply.

"…Oi, oi…"

He awkwardly patted their heads.

"What's with this all of a sudden…"

Behind them—

the others watched silently.

Even Sukuna said nothing.

Young Gojo blinked quietly.

The joking expression gone for once.

Megumi looked away slightly.

Choso smiled faintly.

Watching his brothers.

And older Gojo—

just stood there silently.

Understanding immediately.

Because for Takeru and Yuji—

this wasn't just meeting someone.

It was getting back someone they lost.

Even if technically—

they hadn't lost him yet.

Wasuke looked between the two emotional teenagers hugging him like their lives depended on it.

Then sighed.

"…You two hungry or something?"

Instantly—

Yuji answered through tears.

"…Yeah…"

Takeru nodded aggressively.

"…Very…"

Wasuke shook his head.

"…Then get inside already."

And just like that—

for one small moment—

everything felt normal again.
