I felt thoroughly dismissed, and I did not know how to handle it. I paced the hallways angrily. Something was stirring within the pack and I did not know what. That alone had me on edge. I liked to be aware of everything that went on within the pack. I needed to know. That way I was able to keep control of it. But it felt like control was slowly sliding from my grasp.
'That is because that cousin of yours grows stronger.' My wolf complained. 'He is one to beware of now.'
Kael had never been one to beware of. So the words of my wolf hung heavy within my mind. If he sensed an increase in his strength that was not a good thing. I allowed my eyes to wander to the window and movement caught my eyes. I could see some warriors moving in their unit.
