Sleep was not something I had managed much of. Yet I had ensured I was awake early, wanting to start the day off well, if I was able, with my bride-to-be. Things were on such an unsteady path for us, I knew I needed to try harder for her. So, I could not have been more relieved to see Grace wander down to the conservatory of her own free will.
