Kael's presence upon my run once again meant it came to an end before I wanted it to, but the information he had given me was intriguing. Information that had never been shared with me. But, as an omega, to most, I was someone they almost saw through. A nobody. I had no reason, in their minds, to be taught anything more than the skills I would need to complete the duties expected of me. So, as frustrating as Kael's presence on my run may have been, today it had worked in my favour.
He stood watching me. His gaze almost defiant. He expected me to return to the packhouse with him. I had no intention of it. I did not know why he thought I had to do as he pleased. He may be fated to me, but I was not his to order. I looked away from him, his eyes sending my belly into a twisting sense of irritation, but then, there was that voice again. Capturing my attention, making me snap my head in the direction where it seemed to come from.
