An awkward silence sounded between us. I did not know where to look. I wanted him to leave. There was nothing more to say. Nothing I could say would change his mind. "I will go and find Grace. See if she has calmed down. We shall have dinner in an hour if you care to join us. Just a casual meal in the conservatory. I expect to see you there." Kael suddenly added, breaking the silence, before he walked from the room. I closed the door on him and let him walk away before my tears had begun to fall.
