I woke the next morning with a quiet determination. I had spent most of the previous evening feeling sorry for myself and I was done with it. The last thing I remembered before drifting off was watching movies with Sean, and when I opened my eyes he was passed out across the width of my bed taking up considerably more space than necessary. I nudged him with my foot and he grumbled and shoved me away. I smirked and nudged him again.
His eyes opened slowly this time and he blinked at me in confusion before pulling himself upright, running a hand over his face and stretching with a grunt.
"Morning, Novie. Sorry I fell asleep here," he said, voice heavy and scratchy.
I shrugged. "I did not even realise I had fallen asleep either."
