"Ah, I'm asking about Eriko. What does that person surnamed Xi have to do with us?" Leticia stated that she had no feelings.
An innocent bystander, none of her business.
"If I hadn't placed Eriko there, she wouldn't have been injured. This is my fault."
"The place you arranged was already the best. Her passing by there is something no one could have expected." Leticia had already heard from Luna how remote and desolate the place Melanie had found was.
Under normal circumstances, even if a fight broke out there, it wouldn't affect innocent people, but nothing is absolute. Who could have imagined that a popular young star would appear in that place without anyone accompanying her?
The wrong time, the wrong place, created today's wrong drama.
Melanie's arrangements were basically foolproof. Look, didn't the Elf Race's raid return empty-handed?
But that Miss Xi who suddenly appeared at the scene and was caught in the magical fallout really gives people a headache. You say, why couldn't you go anywhere else, but had to appear here? Now look, you've basically cost yourself your life.
"Are you absolving me?" Melanie raised her head and asked in a low voice.
Leticia shook her head. "I'm just telling the truth."
Absolving Melanie? She wasn't that bored.
Wrong is wrong, right is right. In Leticia's heart, there is a scale used to judge right from wrong, and these judgments wouldn't care if it was Melanie or not.
"Do you have a way to save her?" A gleam of emotion flashed in Melanie's eyes, and then she brought up another question.
This question made Leticia reach out and knock on Melanie's head. "You want me, a member of the Demon Race, to detoxify a human from the Elf Race's poison?"
Not to mention why Leticia would want to help humans, regarding the matter of detoxification alone, Leticia couldn't help at all.
Just as Candice said, to neutralize the Elf Race's poison, one still has to find the elf who administered the poison. The antidotes in the Demon Race's hands are for the Demon Race themselves to use; there is a high possibility that a human would drop dead on the spot if they drank it.
"I'm not Leti-a-mon; I can't do everything. I'm just a shut-in who can't do anything but play games."
"If you have the spare time to look for me, you might as well go ask our poor Miss Eriko if she has a way."
Leticia's words made Melanie pause. Look for Eriko?
"Regardless of anything else, she is a Half-Elf who grew up in the Elf Race. She must know more about the Elf Race than we do." Leticia glared at Melanie with some annoyance. Why couldn't this wooden head turn around?
"And you have to let her know how much effort you spent to protect her, how many people were poisoned and are now in critical condition. In short, you have to make her feel like you suffered heavy losses for her sake."
"As long as she is touched, she might just reveal her secrets, right? Even if she doesn't know how to detoxify, trading Miss Xi's life for the trust of a Half-Elf with an important identity—this deal is a huge profit."
"But she is a person. I cannot use her as a bargaining chip to trade for Eriko's trust." Melanie couldn't accept such a cold reality.
"What do you mean by bargaining chip? Miss Xi is poisoned right now, correct?"
"Yes."
"Needs an antidote, but only elves have the antidote, right?"
"Hmm."
"Eriko is a Half-Elf, right?"
"Yes."
"Then why don't you try your luck? Maybe she really has a way to detoxify?" Leticia looked at Melanie, feeling that this guy's brain was truly a bit sick.
There was clearly a better person to ask for help, yet she insisted on coming to find her, a member of the Demon Race who definitely wouldn't give a good look and was unlikely to have a solution. What is this if not asking for trouble?
Does Leticia have any connection with the Elf Race?
No.
Her biggest interaction with the Elf Race was probably visiting the Elf Race a long time ago, taking the opportunity to discuss some matters with the former Empress of the Elf Race, and finally parting on bad terms.
And Eriko? Although she is a Half-Elf, and although her days in the Elf Race were not great, at least her race name contains the words "Elf," right?
She has elf blood flowing in her; going to find her is definitely more logical than coming to find Leticia, a Demon.
"I just felt that you should have a way." Melanie lowered her head and said, feeling a bit aggrieved.
She didn't need to use her brain often. Generally speaking, others did the thinking for her; she just needed to slash people.
Now, she needed to use her own brain, but she found that her brain really wasn't enough.
And Leticia's brain was very capable, which is why Melanie thought of coming to Leticia for help at the first opportunity.
As for the result, Melanie did indeed get a method. Although she received some mockery, at least there was a solution, right?
"If you could stop thinking about getting frisky anytime and anywhere, I think your brain would at least be able to figure out such clear things." Leticia sighed, reached out, and pinched Melanie's cheek. "So, can you stop putting your energy into how to get close to me, Malanie?"
"I refuse!" Melanie very firmly stated that she was going to put wooing Leticia among the top few important things.
Protecting her sister, protecting the human race, and then wooing Leticia.
The first two goals were currently being accomplished very well, so now Melanie's main energy was focused on wooing the girl who was currently fiercely ravaging her cheeks.
But Melanie felt that wooing Leticia seemed to be more troublesome than the first two things. After all, the previous things could be solved with force, but Leticia could not be solved with force at all.
If Melanie really wanted to force herself on her, Leticia would probably send Melanie off with the words, 'Let's go together on the road to the underworld.'
"Sister, Sister Bai, although this is a private matter between you two, can you please not have such intimate interactions as if no one else is around!" Kira, who had just finished showering and was wearing pajamas, intending to sleep while hugging her sister, walked into the room. Seeing the intimate interaction between Leticia and Melanie, she felt a bit numb.
