Chapter 135 - Chapter 134 Heroes Can Fly

"So why did you agree, big sister? Do you know how weak your body is right now? How can you go out like this?" Kira asked with confusion after Melanie left and her suggestion was rejected by Leticia.

She could have just bought the headphones directly, so why let big sister put herself in danger?

She couldn't understand.

"How should I put it? I feel like my body can already support daily activities. If not, a wheelchair would also suffice," Leticia explained softly, caressing the cat ears of the headphones. "But her condition is a very rare opportunity."

To openly enter the Hero Association and see how strong humanity's heroes are now.

"There's no need for big sister to put herself in danger," Kira retorted. These matters could be handled by subordinates. Big sister is the Demon Queen; there's no need for her to personally get involved.

Leticia smiled. Her sister's concern was very gratifying, but since she had already made a decision, she wouldn't change it easily. "Don't worry, that person surnamed York won't harm me."

"Big sister says she hates Big Sister York, but in reality, she trusts her very much, doesn't she?"

"That's right, I do trust her a lot. This is the Demon Queen's intuition, you know," Leticia replied with a giggle. "Just like I know my little Kira still likes me."

Stroking her sister's fluffy little head, Leticia thought back to when Kira was little. At that time, Kira's attitude towards her was a bit poor; every time she wanted to pat her sister's head, her hand would be swatted away.

Of course, Kira still doesn't like being touched on the head, but if Leticia does it, she can tolerate it.

"I don't like you at all."

"I didn't expect you, Kira, to be a tsundere too. It's quite cute, hehe." Her sister's contradictory behavior made Leticia giggle.

Her little Kira is as cute as ever.

"Big sister, you're not qualified to call me a tsundere," Kira declared, indicating that her tsundere tendencies were nothing compared to her big sister's.

Hers was just a special state, while Leticia's tsundere was a permanent state with maxed-out levels.

"You brat, when have I ever been a tsundere!" Leticia immediately declared that she had never been a tsundere.

She, Leticia, the dignified Empress of the Demon Race, could not possibly be a tsundere.

"Hehe." Kira took a small step back, dodging Leticia's hand. "Since big sister has made up her mind, I'll trust you this time. I still have a lot of documents to approve. If big sister is free..."

"Ah, I suddenly feel a terrible stomachache." Leticia's expression changed, and she dramatically clutched her stomach, starting to wail.

Even Kira could tell that Leticia was deliberately feigning illness with that acting.

"Forget it, big sister, as long as you're happy." Kira glared at Leticia. "I really don't know where that diligent big sister from before went."

The old Leticia was a ruthless working machine, capable of working sixteen hours a day.

But now, Leticia declared that sixteen minutes of work would kill her.

"The diligent Leticia has been killed off, and the current Leticia is the decadent Leticia, you know."

"Then bring back the diligent big sister, you decadent big sister." Kira stepped forward, pinched Leticia's cheeks, and began pulling them sideways. "Do you believe I'll hang you from a tree and beat you?"

"Why are you such a grudge-holder, you brat? I didn't do that on purpose last time." Leticia quickly defended herself, wasn't she forced to?

If she didn't show her merciless side, how could she make those nobles at the time obey her?

If a group of people came asking for leniency under the guise of kinship, wouldn't that be an incredibly difficult situation to handle?

She had intended to wipe out that pile of nobles that time, absolutely not leaving them any room for maneuver.

And it just so happened that Kira made a mistake at that time.

The mistake wasn't big, but it wasn't small either, and it just so happened to violate the laws Leticia had just enacted.

Then, well, Leticia used the tactic of 'killing the chicken to scare the monkeys.'

"Yes, big sister didn't do it on purpose, but little sister was really sad and thought she was going to be abandoned by big sister." Kira snorted. Of course, she didn't hate her big sister, because she knew that big sister was doing it for their own good.

Moreover, she had indeed made a mistake, so receiving punishment was only natural.

"I would never abandon Kira," Leticia said softly, holding her sister in her arms. "Kira is my only family; I would abandon myself before I abandoned Kira."

There was actually a slight problem with that statement. Leticia had many relatives; those great nobles were more or less related to Leticia in some small way.

After all, there would always be descendants of the Demon King intermarrying with nobles, and some nobles were even descendants of former Demon Kings.

The current Demon King's bloodline was only a tiny bit left, and the reason lay with Leticia's grandmother and mother. Those two, for some unknown reason, nearly caused the once flourishing Demon King family to have its bloodline cut off in their hands.

"If big sister has to sacrifice herself to protect me, I'd rather big sister not protect me." Kira's face was a little red, and she struggled to break free from Leticia's embrace. "It's almost dinner time, and I still have a lot of things to do. I'm going to the study first."

With that, without waiting for Leticia to reply, the young girl quickly ran out of the room.

She's shy.

"My little sister is really cute." Leticia smiled. Although she had been unwilling to meet Kira before, now that Kira had caught her, she felt much more relaxed.

At least she didn't have to worry that one day an angry sister would come looking for her and drag her, the derelict sister, back to the Demon Race to be locked up.

She could also sleep soundly at night and wouldn't have those dreams of being locked up by her sister.

There were gains and losses; she couldn't spend all her time on gaming but gained a peaceful life. This trade-off was acceptable.
