Chapter 100 - Chapter 100. Finally able to fight back.

"Little Lu, come look at this!" Crouching halfway up a mound piled with various treasures, the Captain held up an old-fashioned small wooden box and shouted to Kira.

When she saw this small wooden box, a voice suddenly emerged in her heart: this wooden box contained the power sufficient to disperse the mist.

This matched Kira's description from just a moment ago, so the Captain called out to Kira loudly.

"Let me see." Hearing the Captain's call, Kira quickly ran to the Captain's side and began to carefully examine the box.

The box was made of wood; if one smelled it up close, they could even detect a faint, fresh fragrance. On the top of the wooden box, a pattern resembling the sun was carved, and beneath the sun was something somewhat abstract.

Looking at it, it seemed like mist being dispersed by sunlight.

The wooden box was not locked. Kira simply pressed a protrusion on the box, and it opened automatically, revealing a golden gem.

"Inject magic power into the gem to summon the Radiant Sun and disperse the mist." Two lines of text were carved into the wood surrounding the gem, reminding whoever opened the box of the correct way to use it.

Kira did not doubt it; without a second word, she picked up the gem and injected her own magic power into it.

Scorching, as scorching as the sun.

The gem began to glow, and the terrifying heat caused Kira's brows to knit tightly together.

The skin on her palm had already been scorched, but Kira was not frowning because of the pain. She knew her sister was downstairs fighting a god, and a god was absolutely not something her sister could defeat.

She had to disperse the mist before her sister was defeated.

"Damn it, not enough magic power." The real reason Kira was frowning was that she discovered her magic power was simply unable to feed this gem.

The gem was devouring her magic power like a bottomless pit; although that golden light was dazzling, it could not disperse the thick fog covering the entire city.

How much magic power did it take to fully activate the gem?

Kira didn't know; she only knew that she had no way to activate the gem on her own.

However, among the few people present, she was the only Demon, and the only one who could use magic power. And even if the others could use magic power, they were more than a little bit weaker than her. If she herself couldn't feed this gem, what use would they be?

There was only one way: go downstairs to find her sister and let her sister activate this gem.

Kira now deeply regretted not bringing a few potions when she left. If she had potions to replenish magic power now, she wouldn't have fallen into such an awkward predicament.

And why was there an awakened god here ahead of time!

The time clearly hadn't arrived yet!

"Quick, let's go downstairs!" Kira didn't explain; she just grabbed the scorching gem and ran downstairs.

Even if it meant potentially walking right into a trap, she had to give it a try.

She couldn't just accept her fate, right?

"Eh? Oh." The Captain and the others quickly followed.

As soon as she returned to the first floor, Kira quickly performed a roll to dodge the sword energy slashing toward her.

"Whoa!" Fortunately, Kira's movement gave the Captain and the others a bit of warning, otherwise they would have taken that sword energy head-on.

Golden light shone through the gaps in Kira's fingers, forcing back the white mist.

"It's effective!" Kira felt a surge of joy and immediately opened the hand holding the gem.

Instantly, golden light like the sun forced back all the mist permeating the first floor.

"Damn it, it's the sun!" The Mist God, hidden in the mist, covered her eyes in some disarray. The sun was her greatest nemesis; it had been in the past, and it was now, too.

The mist dissipated, and Kira immediately saw her sister, who was in a bad state.

Her clothes were tattered, the stockings under her skirt were torn in several places, and part of them had been stained red by fresh blood.

She looked disheveled, which also showed just how powerful a god was.

"Sister, inject magic power into the gem!" Kira didn't offer much explanation, instead throwing the gem directly toward Leticia.

Leticia was still surprised by the sudden change in the situation, but upon hearing her sister's words, she quickly reached out, wanting to catch the gem that looked like a small sun.

The Mist God immediately formed a spear; she absolutely could not let Leticia get the gem.

The gem was currently only in a semi-unsealed state; dispersing the mist in one room was already its limit.

But if she let Leticia continue injecting magic power to unseal it, the Mist God feared that her divine domain would truly be sealed once again.

Clang!

A teeth-gritting screeching sound echoed through the empty room.

The mist spear was cut in two by a starry sword. Melanie stood silently in front of Leticia, raising her sword to point at the Mist God, whose expression was uncertain.

"If you want to hurt her, defeat me first," she said coldly.

At this moment, Melanie was like a mountain, blocking the malice from the Mist God for Leticia.

"Tch, she got to show off," Leticia pursed her lips, then looked up and asked her sister, "Kira, just injecting magic power is enough?"

"Yes, just injecting magic power is enough!"

"Alright, I hope you're not lying to me, Kira." Leticia unhesitatingly sent her remaining magic power into the gem.

The gem had a quite large appetite; Leticia's body swayed a few times, and she barely managed to steady herself.

She had overexerted herself.

But the gem still wasn't full.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The Mist God had completely let go; she knew this was no longer the time to take things slowly. She had to, she absolutely had to kill that girl before the gem was fully activated!

"Don't even think about it!" Melanie gripped her sword, and a phantom river of stars slowly appeared behind her.

At this moment, she even overwhelmed the Mist God in terms of aura.

"No way... Little York... she..." The Captain stared dumbfounded at the river of stars behind Melanie.

Legend had it that the Stellar Sword Saint could sever a river of stars with a single swing of her sword. It sounded like an exaggeration, but the Captain knew it wasn't.

That was the highest manifestation of the Sword Saint's martial arts; she could truly manage to sever the river of stars in the sky with one sword strike.

But wasn't the Sword Saint a man?

Why, why was it Little York?

Yes, seeing Melanie unleash such an attack, how could the Captain not guess Melanie's true identity?

Only the Sword Saint, only she, could achieve this level.

"Slash!"

Following the girl's voice, the river of stars behind her shattered.

A sword light that was impossible to look at directly severed the river of stars, broke through the blockade of space and time, and appeared before the Mist God.

"What..." There was no time to react at all. No, it should be said that there was absolutely no way to react to this sword strike.

Boom!

The Mist God, hit head-on by the sword light, fell to the ground in a disheveled state. After a few breaths, she stood up with a gloomy face.

Golden blood flowed from the corner of her mouth, and true fury appeared in those eyes shrouded in mist.

"Unforgivable, unforgivable!" she shouted loudly.

To dare to hurt her; she had actually been hurt by a mortal.

Unforgivable!
