Chapter 73 - Chapter 73. Sensible Luna

"I'm just going to see the Guild Leader, why are you dressed so formally?" Leticia, who had been forced into an outfit by Melanie, looked on with narrowed eyes and said helplessly to the beautifully dressed Melanie beside her, "Someone who didn't know better would think you were going on a blind date."

Melanie was wearing a very beautiful white dress, one of the garments delivered a few days ago. Leticia reached out and touched it, finding that the texture of the dress was top-notch.

The outfit Melanie had thrust into Leticia's hands was that long dress Leticia had previously labeled as 'definitely going to be a pain to put on.'

It was indeed pretty, but wearing it would surely be incredibly tedious. At the very least, Leticia had known for a few days that she couldn't possibly put this dress on by herself.

"The Guild Leader is your good friend, so of course I should dress well," Melanie said solemnly. She had chatted with the Guild Leader quite a bit over the past few days. "I also want to see what kind of girl the Guild Leader is."

In Melanie's view, the Guild Leader was very different from Leticia. Leticia simply didn't want to do anything—or rather, she was lazy.

But the Guild Leader seemed quite enthusiastic. She was very interested in things like gossip. For instance, the Guild Leader had been asking Melanie about what had happened between her and Leticia over the last few days.

The answers Melanie gave only differed from Leticia's in a few details, which made the Guild Leader even more convinced that there was some 'yuri' romance going on between the two girls.

"The Guild Leader? She's definitely a girl similar to me, a shut-in internet addict," Leticia said as she took off her pajamas. Looking at her naked self in the mirror, she suddenly paused.

Why was she able to change clothes so unguardedly right under Melanie's nose?

"You, get out." Realizing she should have a bit more of an attitude, Leticia immediately covered her chest with the clothes and pointed her finger at the door. "I'm changing here."

Melanie tilted her head, trying to force her way through by acting cute. But this girl was truly terrible at it; her attempt at being cute was practically indistinguishable from crying.

"Even if you tilt your head three hundred and sixty degrees, you're not staying here today." Leticia chuckled. Still trying to bluff your way through? Why don't you look in a mirror and see what a mess you're making?

Melanie simply wasn't cut out for acting cute. Besides, Leticia had long since developed a strong resistance to the 'moe' attribute.

After all, when Kira was little, she was much cuter than this white-haired girl. Even with a sister that cute, hadn't Leticia still laid a hand on her without hesitation when it was time for discipline?

So, acting cute in front of Leticia was like an amateur showing off driving skills to a veteran racer; in a word, it was asking for a rebuff.

"Now, immediately, right this second, get out."

"Then how will you get dressed?" Melanie immediately found an excuse.

"Luna!" Leticia gave a cold laugh and called for her exclusive maid.

A few seconds later, the maid poked her head through the door. "Your Majesty?"

"Get this person out of here, then help me change," Leticia signaled for Luna to quickly clear out the unrelated party so she could change in peace.

Luna's expression broke for a split second. After all, Leticia's current state was... rather suggestive.

She had nothing on her entire body except for a pair of panties. Although Leticia was using the large dress to cover her private areas, most of her snowy-white skin was still brightly exposed to the air.

Why did it feel like Her Majesty had finished undressing before suddenly realizing there was an unrelated person in the room?

"Malanie, since Her Majesty has said so, please." Luna opened the door fully and said to Melanie, whose face was full of reluctance, "It's not good to go against a girl's wishes."

Melanie gave a somewhat aggrieved 'oh' and obediently walked out of Leticia's room.

Luna didn't go in immediately either, stating that she needed to wash her hands first.

After receiving Leticia's permission, Luna closed the door and turned to Melanie. "Malanie, your recent behavior has been a bit over the line."

"Ah?" Melanie was stunned. What did 'over the line' mean?

She just wanted to get on good terms with Leticia; she didn't have any other intentions.

"Her Majesty is a girl with a rather awkward personality. Such... er, reckless behavior like yours, Malanie, will only cause Her Majesty's resentment." Luna tried to make Melanie understand how perverted her actions were.

"Think about it. If one day, Miss Leticia met someone, and that person had the ability to enter and leave Miss Leticia's room at will, and he actually did so..."

"I..."

"But Miss Leticia hated that person, yet that person ignored her dislike and kept saying to themselves, 'I just want to get on good terms with Leticia.' Malanie, what would you do?"

Melanie fell silent. It was completely different when Leticia said something versus when Luna said it. One might doubt the truth of words coming from Leticia's mouth.

But Luna's words carried full credibility.

If her own sister were pestered like that, what would she do?

Was there even a need to ask? Melanie would naturally choose to make sure her sister never had to worry about that problem again.

"Of course, I don't deny that Her Majesty does seem to have a sliver of goodwill toward you, Malanie. But I believe that sliver of goodwill is only because Her Majesty has no resistance against pretty girls to begin with." Luna deliberately lowered her voice, fearing Leticia might hear her.

After all, she was just short of explicitly saying Leticia was a sucker for a pretty face.

"Miss Luna means..."

"Could you please stop entering Her Majesty's room at will? Even if you want to see her, please use a more normal method," Luna said seriously. "For example, knocking before coming in."

Teleportation was for escaping and attacking, not for dropping by unannounced.

"Okay, fine." Melanie nodded dejectedly. She could ignore Leticia's words, but she couldn't ignore what Luna said so seriously.

"If you continue as before, even if Her Majesty doesn't say anything, I will suggest that she move to a different place to live," Luna said softly. "Human cities are quite large; there will always be a place for us to settle down in peace."

"Luna, hurry up, I'm freezing to death!" Leticia's voice drifted from inside the room, interrupting the conversation between Luna and Melanie.

Luna gave an apologetic smile. "I hope Malanie can carefully consider what I've said. None of us want to make our relationship too strained, right?"
